Hi all, thank you so much for joining me for our 1st midsummer event. I would really appreciate your thoughts/comments in order to plan our midwinter event. Please give honest feedback. Don't worry, I've got my Big Girl Pants on, I can take it! 🤪
I'm very disappointed personally, with the ending. Couldn't be helped due to my illness. Saying this, I wondered if anyone would be interested in co-hosting with me. ⬇️⬇️

Hi all, I'm so sorry this kinda fizzled out. Things didn't go to plan as I became ill at the start of the week.
How are you getting on with our #buddyread
Please tell me, how was your Midsummer solstice? I hope you all had a pleasant day/evening. Thank you for joining me for our second solace event. I will be back with #Midwintersolace in December. ❤️🌞❤️
Blessings to you all xx

Do you spend time on self-care? Even if we do, it's usually one of the first things to go when life gets crazy. Ironically, this is probably the time when we need it the most.
What did you do today, just for yourself?
I spent ages in my garden, daydreaming, reading & loving our #buddyread and making plans of jobs to do. I needed a restful day today.

Just a quick check-in to see how you're all doing. Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?
Mine are mostly reading, gardening and maybe a cheeky tipple. Hopefully start on our #buddyread (tagged)

Our chilled, summer #buddyread 😊 No schedule, no stress readalong with us. I will post a discussion thread on the 28th of June.
All welcome to join in.
Let me know if you wish to be added/removed from the taglist.
This is a dangerous book. I added numerous books to my TBR list. It's a series of essays about women who write about nature, many I didn't know. My last book finished for the #20in4 readathon. @Andrew65 #naturalitsy @AllDebooks
Nature writing by women: Every poet and writer is briefly introduced and there is a sample of her writing. If you're looking for something in depth, I don't recommend it as every nature writer gets only a few pages and the reading samples are short, but highly recommend it for a reader who wants an overview of women's history through nature writing. And it's a good starting point for further exploring the authors you are interested in.
A delight! I planned to flip through this book of women nature writers to broaden my TBR, but it ended up being more than just a list of dry profiles & bibliographies. The author is a nature writer herself and spoke to many of those featured who are still living, even traveling to some of the places they had written about. Not only do the featured writers come to life, but so do their wild places. A wide-ranging celebration of women in the world!
The box got banged up a bit but my #cab10kgiveaway package has arrived and I LOVE it! @Catsandbooks thank you so much! I‘ve been looking forward to this book for a long time and I ❤️ the socks.
Unfortunately, the #manpanion stole the candy ( I‘ll get it back once he goes to bed 😀). Thank you again.
I haven‘t posted in a bit, but I‘m back for #NonfictionNovember! The stated goal is to read more nonfiction than you usually would, and I plan to read it exclusively. I have a huge nonfiction list at the library and just looking at it sparks joy.
I will be reading We Are Displaced with the #SheSaid bookclub and hope to get to as many others as I can. Writing Wild profiles 25 women nature writers; it‘s a book to help me discover more books 😍📚🍂
YES. ABSOLUTELY. 10/10
Reading this was a pleasure - short profiles of women writing about science, nature, the environment - from a wide range of time periods, backgrounds, etc. I had read quite a few of the women (some are favorites close to my heart - Annie Dillard, Mary Oliver, etc) but still my TBR grew exponentially!
Comes out in June, originally should have been April!
Beautiful cover a topic close to my heart women writers. So excited to read this book.
