This was a cute little manga. A lonely man adopts the cat that no one wants from the store. It shows the perspective of both him and the cat as they develop their relationship and learn how to live with each other. There are silly moments that cat owners will definitely relate to. This was a perfect palette cleanser and I'll continue the series slowly as I need a light read

This was just So Stinkin‘ Cute! What a sweet little manga about two beings finding each other at just the right time and providing joy, love, and comfort to each other. Love this. Would recommend to anyone e wanting some cozy kitty vibes.

This is the first volume of a manga series about an older man, recently bereaved, who adopts a cat that no one else seems to want. The story is totally charming and Fukumaru the cat is adorable!

Thank you to @jdiehr for posting about iyashikei manga,which portrays characters living out peaceful lives in calming environments.Example-this tender story about the shelter cat that no one wanted and the man who was looking for love will warm your heart. The experience of reading it also was new for me. Starting from the Western back of the book and reading from the page on the right to the left side. A must for all the Litsy cat lovers! 😻

When I read an article about iyashikei manga (a genre that portrays characters living out peaceful lives in calming environments), I decided to finally give manga a try.

You guys.

This was beautiful.

An aging cat watches all the surrounding cats get adopted around him while his price keeps dropping and no one chooses him.

Until one day...

I teared up very early on and plan to continue this series.

Who would have thought??

OMG. Think the movie “Up” and add a kitty! This was so sweet. And made me tear up a time or two. Seriously, this is a perfect love note to pet owners everywhere.

A charming story about an unwanted cat at the pet store, who‘s finally bought by an older man, a widower. He‘s never owned a cat before, and the cat has never had an owner before, so they‘re both new to this. Love how Kanda and Fukumaru just adore each other. And we get to hear Fukumaru‘s very cute thoughts, “all I wanted was for someone to look meowy way”.

A truly heartwarming story about relationship between a man and his cat.

I had no idea Cat manga was a thing. This is cute.

This is SO CUTE and I definitely did NOT cry a bunch of times reading it 👀😢

I adore this manga series. There is some heartbreak and drama but love is at the heart of this story. It is so soft and joyful and full of love for cats, friendship, and music. What's not to love? This series is still ongoing but I recommend it.
