And with this DNF I will no longer be following this series. I loved the first book, A Sweet Mess, but this one just didn't grab me. The "romance" was more about lust and honestly both of them kind of got on my nerves. I found myself putting off picking it up and my goal for this year was to allow myself to DNF when I'm not enjoying a book.
Reading goal is 50 books (@ least), one nonfiction a month, several challenges, and gunna focus more on my physical books!

The tagged book is ok. I'm listening to it, but dunno if I'll finish it before it returns to the library (and dunno if I'll recheck it out) 🤷♀️

A game of Truth or Dare leads to a series of dates between Tara and her best friend's brother-in-law, Seth. The chemistry between the two characters was fantastic, but I got frustrated that the tension was that Tara was so opposed to love that she wasn't able to notice that she was in love and in a relationship until it was gone.

so-soThis #audiobook is the second in a series- but I don‘t think that impacted the overall storyline since this is more of a spin-off than a genuine sequel as the main characters from the first book play minor roles. Tara and Seth feel unexpected sparks at a wedding, leading to the titular dare- four dates but no falling in love- a casual arrangement to suit them both. But not all goes to plan- a bit more of a physical romance than I prefer though.
pickThis book was cute and sweet.... Overly sweet sometimes, it was an enjoyable light read
pickGood. Even though this book is second in a series it can be read as a stand alone book as it doesn't really refer back to past events just gets on with the story. I‘ve decided life is too short, and when you‘re on Chapter 5 (26%) of a book that you have NO connection to whatsoever, throw in the towel. 🏳 I have forced myself to finish arcs before that I didn‘t enjoy because I knew I‘d feel guilty if I didn‘t, but I‘m turning over a new leaf. NOTE: This was the second in series of which I had not read the first. The writing itself was OK. I did not connect with the characters AT ALL. The female lead 🔻

pickSo cute! Jayci Lee does such an amazing job incorporating Tara's Asian heritage, but not in an overwhelming way. It's just normal everyday things, but that just happen to be Asian; I love it! Anyways, back to the story itself; Tara and Seth are both fun and I loved the way they slowly came together. It was good to see an update on Audrey and Landon, plus a guess who the next couple up will be (I have my guess).
