pickThis book was between a so-so and a pick. It wasn't quite what I was hopkng for at the moment. The main character could be annoyingly obtuse at times and there was several times that I felt certain phrases were overused. I had to say goodbye to Mischief this morning. She was 6 weeks away from her 18th birthday.
When I moved out on my own I spent one night in my new apartment and couldn't stand being alone, so I went to the shelter the next day and Mischief chose me.
She's been there with me through 2 marriages and a divorce, she was there when I brought home each of my daughters, she moved with me across the country and back. I'm really going to miss her.
panAs I was reading this I frequently asked myself what in the hell I was reading. It was all over the place and the relationship between the two main characters felt forced and contrived. The leading lady came across as a bumbling idiot that needed to be cosseted and humoured. The story was just not to my taste at all.
My #funfridayphoto has to feature Jayne Ann Krentz / Amanda Quick / Jayne Castle. She's the first "adult" author I read as a kid, and I still read to this day. Romance, adventure, sometimes a dash of the paranormal, and always a happy ending. ????
