I missed that this was part of her Cedar Cove series. Luckily, you don‘t have to know the cedar cove characters to read it. It might help, but she gives enough info and all her stories are fairly simple. Typical Macomber—sweet, sappy, and short.

Debbie Macomber Christmas books... just because they are predictable, doesn‘t mean I love them any less!! #predictableplot #adlangreads @OriginalCyn620 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

ljuliel Sometimes it‘s good to read predictable books. They‘re actually quite restful and relaxing to read. 5y
Kshakal @ljuliel I completely agree! Predictable reads are excellent pallet cleansers! 5y
OriginalCyn620 Agreed! As long as you enjoy them, that‘s what matters! (edited) 5y

“What took so long?” she asked, pausing to kiss him and take the bags out of his hands. “You should see the grocery store. There wasn‘t a cart to be had.” “Christmas Eve… what did you expect?” “Everyone seems to leave the #shopping until the last minute—even my wife.” He kissed her cheek but not before Peggy saw him swipe a cookie. #QuotsyDec18

Ok, so I may have read the whole Cedar Cove series once upon a time in 2012. They're all on my kindle so photo credit goes to http://rachaelc94.blogspot.com/2015/01/series-2015.html?m=1 who is obviously more patient about making a collage than I am!

ramyasbookshelf Never read a Debbie Macomber. What would you recommend I start with? I'd prefer a stand alone.. 8y
TheSpinecrackersBookClub Lovely pic! Some serious romance novels 😉 8y
Megabooks @ramyasbookshelf I've never read anything by her except this series. It was kind of like "ok, out of my system, done". I haven't read much adult romance since. 8y
Megabooks @TheSpinecrackersBookClub Yes, I for some reason devoured them. It was during my year of super small town exile! 8y
