Very good sequel. Better than I was expecting. Even teared up near the end 🥲 Love these boys!

I mostly enjoyed this one.

I feel like I have to say, the real star of this book is not the main characters, but Ben‘s best friend, Dylan. He stole the show with his jokes and puns. So many puns. This was the needed conclusion Arthur and Ben‘s stories, though I wish there had been a little more specificities in the flash forward. 5⭐️
This was the sequel that I didn‘t know I needed! Years ago, I read the first book about Arthur and Ben‘s summer romance and thought it was sweet. This picks up several years later, when they‘ve matured and gives you the happily ever after you‘d hoped for them. Also, Ben‘s friend, who is over the top in so many ways, is the ally everyone should have.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The first book was better, but this was still wonderfully endearing, awkward, and enjoyable! I loved being back in New York City with Ben, Arthur, Dylan, Samantha, and Jessie! And the new characters fit in well.
I totally see myself returning to both What If It's Us and Here's to Us in the future when I want an adorable YA pick-me-up kind of read and a reminder of what it was like to be 16, 17, 18, 19-years-old. ❤️
It has been quite a taxing week, so I decided to start what is probably the lightest and most joyful book in my TBR stack. 📚 I am so excited to be back in the world of Ben and Arthur! Hope it lives up to the first book! ❤️
This duo of books was hands down my favorite this year. Ben and Arthur, what can I even say? I love you! This was a phenomenal sequel and I highly recommend it to anyone who just needs a feel good, funny, sometimes a little sad book. I mean, read the first one first. Well, I recommend audiobook, but definitely read them. So good. My heart is so happy.

I got a bit tired of Arthur and Ben doing a lot of will we won‘t we in their various relationships and endeavours. I skim read the last third, but the epilogue was very cute.
🫠🥰🥹 Beautiful ending!!!! I feel so happy we got to experience it. I love that every chapter of this felt like a big bomb of drama and longing. Even though their true feelings were OBVIOUS to us, I like that them not admitting it didn‘t feel they were clueless/ignorant, which kept the will-they-won‘t-they entertaining for me. Super likable characters & such a cute story!!
I think this may be my new favourite. Amazingly well written. A cute love story which also shows reality of hiccups which can happen. The way they grow. Do-overs are sometimes the best things that can happen 🙂
In this sequel, we follow the majority of the characters from book one with a couple of new characters. It was perfect because you can follow so easy the story. I can‘t say much without spoil the story. Our characters will grow in their decisions. Love that ending❤️So cute😍Dylan, what a peculiar funny guy. 3.8⭐️
I enjoyed the audiobook with the physical book.
Arthur is back in NYC for the summer and he finally has a sweet little boyfriend that he adores. so WHY is the universe pushing him back towards Ben, the boy he had a magic summer romance with? aka his ex. this whole sequel I was just dying hoping for a happy ending between ben and Arthur bc I love them so much and their friends are so great. def for a younger crowd but still loved every second.
I tried to leave this with an hour left and just couldn‘t! This is a lot more serious than it‘s predecessor, but still had a fair bit of humor (the claw machine 😂). Dylan and Arthur are still my favorite characters; they are hilarious. I loved how it all came together because I am a sucker for a HEA. 😍
After being unexpectedly charmed by What If It‘s Us, since romance is not my bag, I was excited for this follow up. The story isn‘t nearly as good, though I did enjoy revisiting these characters, and the audio narrators are the same as book 1, which I loved.
We've got a beautiful (if windy) 60° day, so I'm sitting on the sunporch, listening to an audiobook and editing auction photos on my phone. Tomorrow we go back to normal March weather, so I'm going to enjoy this as much as I can!
(Side note: I hated the first book and I hate this one even more. I'm going to finish the audiobook out of spite.)
I really like both Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera, so I think their collaborations are great! I really liked What If It's Us, so I'd been looking forward to revisiting Ben and Arthur in Here's to Us. This was a fun book to read, and just what I needed to get me through this week. Thanks again @Lovesbooks87 for sending this to me!
Thank you so much for this surprise, Jessica!! I absolutely can't wait to start reading this!!
@Lovesbooks87
Didn't love it. Didn't hate it. Lots and lots and lots of dialog, possibly too many characters but not sure you could omit any and get the same affect.
Also random sidebar but I feel like Mavis and Johnny are the perfect counterparts to Dylan and Samantha. I always picture them in my head reading these books 😆
Loved this ending for Ben and Arthur ❤️ complete with musical theater references and puns like bi awakening or queer Evan Hansen 😂 I really wanted to post this quote but I‘m listening on audible and didn‘t want to get the punctuation wrong. So here‘s a TikTok I made with the clip. I need this made into a shirt 😂 https://bit.ly/335duFr #BookSpinBingo
If you're up for a sometimes-funny, schmaltzy, gay YA love story, this sequel might satisfy you. [I think it would work as a standalone, too.] Read my full review here: https://debbybrauer.org/#heres-to-us-what-if-its-us-2
Last book of 2021! I was so excited when I heard that this book was coming out and they we would get more Ben and Arthur! I loved them in the first book and I loved them in this one as well. I am a sucker for second chance romance. Also the ending was ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️! Now I just need to pick out which book will be my first book of 2022!
Super excited that this book showed up earlier than expected. Probably my last book of 2021!

“That man is a goddamn bunion on the foot of my life” is pure poetry 👌🏻
DO YOU EVER CRY ALL THE TIME FOREVER???? Ben and Arthur's reunion was perfect, and I think I Stan Dylan and Samantha now? I'm emosh. #yalit
