Inherit the Bones: A Mystery | 
pickMy last book of 2020. I don't remember where I heard about this mystery series, the Gemma Monroe detective books, but I enjoyed this easy novel. While solving a gruesome murder, Gemma uncovers a cold disappearance. I'll look into reading the next book at some point. 3.5 stars.

Just finished this one so I'm at 87/100! I'm making excellent progress this weekend as I try to read 100 books by the end of the year. I'm sure I'll be much slower during the week but I'm feeling hopeful 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I wish I had a real fireplace but this is better than nothing. Less clean up too. I'm hoping to finish this one today. It's a new to me mystery series set in Colorado. This first book involves two missing boys, a dead clown, a pregnant detective and plenty of secrets to keep me guessing! I'm loving it!

Went for a long walk in the short sun & now we're back where we started the day w/a different book & a cuppa. I'm trying to see if I can read 100 books by the end of the year. As of today I'm at 86/100. I'm feeling oddly confident about it even though I'm pretty sure I'm not going to hit that number. Discovered Emily Littlejohn. This is her first. Good story, great characters. Well worth a try.

I don‘t read enough mysteries. This story about a pregnant detective investigating a murder was a great read. I will look into reading the rest from this series.
pickCalling all #mystery lovers! Have you read this book?? It's turned out to be one of the best mysteries I've read in a long time! It kept me going all the way to the last page without ever feeling stale, losing momentum, or becoming predictable, and it totally "hit the spot". Gist of the story: a murder at the circus in town, an unsolved almost-40-year-old case, and a 6-months-pregnant detective who is tangled up in both of them. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've been out of town, so my husband decided to see if I had any holds ready for pick up while he was at the library. When he gave the librarian my name, she said that I usually had a few (true). This is the stack that he was given. Happily, he's a book person too, and gets it. 😊 #libraryhaul

pickInherit the Bones by Emily Littlejohn is a great debut mystery! A small Colorado town is the back drop for Decective Gemma Monroe to uncover lies that have been buried for 30 years. The story was well written and definitely a page turner. The cast of characters are likable and I hope this becomes a series with Gemma and her colleagues it would make for some great reading. Emily Littlejohn is now on my list of must read authors!
