Saga volume 10
Saga volume 10 | Brian K. Vaughan, Fiona Staples
22 posts | 27 read | 8 to read

I finally got around to picking this up as a final readathon read this morning, and it was just what I expected. This story is so well told in words and art, but it‘s also a complete roller coaster for the emotions.

Well, I managed to finally read something. Volume 66 of the comic Saga. Now that I have hoopla I can no longer hold out and wait to read the volumes. In this one we get a little background on Gale.

91/150 Although it's been awhile since I read the last volume of Saga, it was very easy to be drawn back into the storyline. I love all the characters, both old and new, and I'm looking forward to further adventures. I did want more Lying Cat though. 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's been a long time since the previous volume and this one feels a little bit different, but it's still excellent space-opera with some really emotional moments.

Ok it‘s been a while since volume 9, but it was so nice to be back with the Saga crew. Excited to keep reading!

I finally picked up this on. I think I have been delaying reading it since I didn‘t want have my suspicions proven right. And right I was. I enjoyed being back in this universe and continuing Hazel‘s story.

Saga may end up being one of the greatest pieces of fiction ever written! I get upset every time I finish a new volume because I have to wait to read more. Even its lesser entries are better than most things written these days.

Kimberlone Volume 10 probably had my least favorite section of the story but the new issues that have started coming out in 2023 are back to being great! 2y
TieDyeDude @Kimberlone I will have to reread them at some point, but I remember Volume 8 being more of a drag for me. Volume 10 won't go down as a favorite, but it was a good way to ease back into the world after the hiatus, until the last page, of course! 2y
TieDyeDude The pirate threat was definitely a low point in the writing, too. 2y

Mehso-so

Perhaps it's the taste left over from the last volume, and knowing the majority of fans (those who didn't come to it as late as I did), have been waiting years for the latest volume, but I'm feeling a little more jerked around than entertained. That's probably also because I get cranky when it's one of the volumes that ends on a sad note as opposed to a happy one. I'm still invested enough to continue, whenever the library gets another volume.

Saga is a heartbreakingly good series. I can‘t believe how much I care about this family and all the characters. All the feels!

Tonight I ate fake shakshuka and caught up on SAGA (aside from the issue that just came out).

Man. MY EMOTIONS. As always, I was glad to have the issues instead of the trade because the lettercols gave me such a great release of tension after each gut punch of a chapter. Staples and Vaughan would be all, “[Redacted awful thing],” and some random letter writer would be all, “[Charming yet spoilery thing],” and my heart felt a smidge better.

After a three year hiatus (in this world and theirs), Hazel, Squire, and Alana return with friends new and villains old in this collection of six issues. I love how funny this series is while eviscerating me, heart and soul. I would follow these characters to any planet, moon, planetoid, or pirate ship.

Oh, how I missed this series! Was able to jump right back into it, like no time had passed…. And then the last couple of panels had me tearing up. How long until the next now?

Three years later …. Some things never change and some things are lost and will never ever be okay. Still a 10/10
comic experience, the art, the dialogue. 💕

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Worth the hiatus, but a stressful read. A few years have passed, yet the war rages. Hazel and her badass family are managing as best they can. Vaughan / Staples never disappoint. There is beauty in the pain.

This is a perfect example of an epic journey in graphic novel. I‘m glad it‘s back up and running because it was such a long hiatus!! Saga is definitely in my top 10 of favourite series, and it continues with the hilarity, action, intrigue, heartbreak and beauty.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

New Saga is here! I‘m currently rereading the first nine volumes to remember everything more vividly. I have kind of forgotten how heartbreaking it was 🥲 but SO good! I‘m also excited to finally have my heart broken anew with the new volume- I‘ve been waiting so long!❤️‍🩹

britt_brooke I reread volumes 1-9 earlier this year and they were even better than I remembered. In the middle of vol 10 now. 🤍 2y
ju.ca.no @britt_brooke I‘ve also started Vol 10 yesterday! 1-9 are SO good, I‘m glad I reread them as I didn‘t remember many details. I‘m not prepared to wait this long again for the next Volume to be published 🥲 2y

It‘s been a long time coming - but it‘s back and I can‘t wait to continue this series! I just got a hard copy of volume 10 today and am just giddy with excitement… tho I may have to reread a few of the previous volumes to refresh my memory since it‘s been such a seemingly never-ending hiatus 😆

StellaDz Just got mine as well! And same 🤣 May have to do a flip through of the last few volumes. 2y
Eyelit @StellaDz such a hardship, right? 😂 (tho I‘m not looking forward to the heartbreak again) 2y
