I‘m really looking forward to traveling to the glorious fictional island of Tuga for #FictionalTraveler this month! What will everyone else be reading for the #Island prompt?

This sounds ideal for a hot summer day. It's set on a charming tropical island with an eclectic cast of characters, & the female main character is devoting herself to her professional pursuits while searching for clues to solve a lifelong personal mystery. Add some “inconvenient“ romance. 𝗪𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐓𝐮𝐠𝐚 by 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 published 07/02/24. Thanks, Bibliolifestyle & Ecco Books.
Set on a remote island, a story about love, friendship and community living. It centres around Charlotte (MC), a vet fleeing from London to take up on conservation work in the endangered tortoises. On her way to the island she meets the new Chief Medical Officer, who is returning home after several years away.
Descriptive writing fills the book with humour and warmth but there is shifting loyalties and betrayal. Quite confusing in parts too.

Tagged my current read- set on a Carribean island, a British female vet is finding it hard to settle into island life.
