Fullmetal Alchemist is a manga series written and illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa. When two brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric use their ability in hopes to bring their mom back from the dead; they are faced with more tragedy and loss. If you enjoy books that are phycological thrillers and play with your emotions, I definitely recommend this book. A theme in this book is sacrifice and how to deal with loss.

This was a lot of fun! I have not read much Manga, and had heard great things about this series. I definitely enjoyed it. Looking forward to continuing the series. 4.5⭐️ #manga

It‘s outdoor reading time! I didn‘t love the first volume of FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST the way I wanted to, but the second makes me think it could build into something durned good.

The library went into lockdown again yesterday, but they‘ve kept the book return open. I took a few things back today and spotted some boxes of books under the overhang by the door. I investigated and found they were free to take, not library materials in the wrong place. Whee! There were a bunch of popular titles, but I only took the first FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST 3-in-1. Hopefully I like it as much as SILVER SPOON by the same creator. #LaTBRrevealed

This was my first manga. It took a bit to warm up to, but once I got used to the style I quite enjoyed. This was a fun, easy, humorous read.

I am celebrating the day by finally taking the plunge and reading some manga - decided to start on Fullmetal Alchemist and it is amazing!! Just finished the second volume and am going straight into the third! I am definitely going to have to buy more manga series, I've been missing out.

I read somewhere that you should read at least the first 50 pages of a book before DNF. If you‘re over 50-years-old you should read the number of pages equal to your age. That said, I read 197 pages of this book. I didn‘t mind reading from right to left at all; that was kind of fun. But I‘ve never read a Manga comic that I liked, and this is no exception. I think it‘s the artwork: it just doesn‘t sit properly with me. (Continued in comments)👇👇👇
