Wanted to say a big thank you to all those who recommended to me that I watch The Resident, after MJW‘s recent passing. I freaking love this show & this is how a medical drama should be done! Been waiting for the Raptor to appear, finally made it to episode 12, wait over! And his first appearance was epic.

Eleven eps I‘ve
waited for the Raptor to
appear — wait over!

CBee I‘m glad you‘re liking it! I‘m on season 5 I think? He is excellent but it‘s so hard to believe he isn‘t here anymore 😢 1mo
JenlovesJT47 @CBee yes I still can‘t believe it. Watching him is bittersweet. I‘m on the last episode of season one and the suspense is killing me with Dr. Hunter! ♥️ 1mo

Was very saddened to hear of Malcolm-Jamal Warner‘s untimely death today. I feel silly getting so upset about celebrities dying because I don‘t technically know them, but I think it‘s because I grew up watching him. Kinda like a big brother. I felt the same way when Bob Saget passed away, he was my TV dad. 😞

A sad day today,
another has gone away —
Theo, you left too soon.

TheBookHippie I am devastated. So sad. 1mo

JenlovesJT47 @rubyslippersreads I haven‘t seen that, but I‘ve always thought he was an excellent actor. So sad. 💔 1mo
kelli7990 He died? What was his cause of death? I liked when he played Theo on The Cosby Show. I also liked when he was on The Resident. His nickname on The Resident was The Raptor. He played a doctor on there. The Resident is a medical drama that was on TV a long time ago. My mom and I watched The Resident together when it was still on. We liked it. We called him Theo too. The Resident is available to stream on Hulu if you want to watch it. 1mo
CBee Devastated here too. I‘m currently working my way through The Resident and he is fabulous in it 💔💔💔 1mo
CBee @kelli7990 I‘m currently binging it and I‘m hooked. But now that I know he‘s gone…. It‘s going to be so hard to watch!! 1mo
JenlovesJT47 @kelli7990 he was swimming in the ocean in Costa Rica and got caught in a rip current. 😞 Thank you for the info about The Resident. I love medical dramas and will add it to my watch list. I really hate how the legacy of The Cosby Show has been ruined basically for the rest of the cast. I‘m hoping I can find it streaming somewhere. ♥️ 1mo
JenlovesJT47 @CBee 💔🫂 you‘re the 3rd person to mention The Resident, might start it tonight! 1mo
lil1inblue This is how I found out! 😯😭💔💔💔 I have to say, I do prefer getting such news in haiku form. 1mo
JenlovesJT47 @lil1inblue sorry to be the bearer of bad news. My dad told me about it and I was surprised that it actually made me cry. I felt stupid but like I said, I think it has something to do with the Cosbys being such an integral part of my childhood. My cousin and I grew up watching TGIF and were equally upset when Bob Saget passed away. I was more upset than I thought I‘d be. Thanks for listening to me ramble. ♥️🫂 1mo
lil1inblue @JenlovesJT47 Oh, I totally get that! There's so many memories attached to our experiences with shows and movies! Watching The Cosbys was a family event! And my sister and I were also TGIF kids. Bob Saget hurt. 💓🫂💓 1mo
JenlovesJT47 @lil1inblue I always thought Bob Saget was so dorky on Full House, like your dad who embarrasses you out in public 😅 so I was shocked at how upset I was. And you‘re right, so many memories attached to shows and movies. Thanks for listening ♥️ 1mo
kspenmoll So sad.💔 1mo
dabbe The trouble Theo would get in on COSBY was spectacular, and Malcolm-Jamal Warner was wonderful in it. I think we all experience heart-wrenching moments when our beloved stars die. I sobbed when Prince died; he defined my college years. And Princess Diana at only 36; oh, how I adored her. I stayed up all night to watch that so-called fairytale wedding. They all seem so larger-than-life and when they die, we realize they're just like us. 💙⭐️💙 1mo
CBee @JenlovesJT47 also, you aren‘t the only one who was heartbroken about Bob Saget. I loved him so much and grew up with him too ♥️ That one still hurts. 1mo
Butterfinger Nooooo. They are such a huge part of our lives. We loved him through Cosby and Magic School Bus. It's normal to grieve. 1mo

ShelleyBooksie Such sad news. 1mo
JenlovesJT47 @dabbe you‘re absolutely right, it reminds you of your own mortality. The celebrity death that hit me the hardest was Jonathan Crombie from Anne of Green Gables 💔 I sobbed for 45 minutes. I had the hugest crush on him since the first time I watched AOOG with my grandma when I was 9. And I remember how upset I was about Diana. I remember that day very vividly, I was only 13. ♥️🫂 1mo
JenlovesJT47 @CBee yes, still hurts 💔 didn‘t realize how much he meant to me until he was gone. ♥️ 1mo
AnnCrystal The feelings are real, it's like we symbolically adopt celebrities and give them the roles we need in our lives 🐝👌🏼🙏🏼😢🐝💝. 1mo
JenlovesJT47 @AnnCrystal that‘s exactly it, thank you for putting it in those words. I don‘t have any brothers but always wanted an older brother. Theo was my favorite ♥️ 1mo
