I finally went back to this series. I loved the first one but took me a while to find the second book and I finally got my hands on the full collection last year.

Such a great read, so funny, I laughed out loud more than once. I can see why despite everything Knives thinks Scott is such a sweet nice guy, I can't help but loving him too.

I decided to finally read the second volume in this series and now I want to binge read the rest! 💚

Reading Scott Pilgrim is like stepping into another universe far cooler than the one I exist in. I love the playfulness of the story and the fun, funky artwork.

With one evil ex vanquished, Scott faces the next one: Hollywood star and skateboarder Lucas Lee! The art style is very manga influenced and the storyline is like a video game which I wasn‘t expecting but it definitely fits the zany plot.

This is more of a 4 🌟 for me.. I felt lost in some parts and this one had parts that weren‘t in the movie so I‘m glad I picked these up.. adds more to the story with parts that make sense.. vol 3 here I come!

So much fun! In this volume there is less action but more hanging out with Scott and his friends. I‘m definitely not complaining - I enjoyed it a lot. I‘m still in awe of O'Malley‘s artwork - he can take two identical frames, change a single line and the entire mood as well as your understanding of the world they live in changes. Very cool.
