A sanatorium was built for tb pts by Mr. Dare. Closed in 1952 with one of Mr. Dare‘s daughters as tb victim. Place was renovated as a temporary retirement for writers and artists. In present time, Penelope, decides to retire and chose Eleonor as director of this place but something happened to her & things started to happen to Eleanor and to the group that was visiting Cliffside. Are all these things connected?A ghost/mild creepy story 3.8⭐️

Gissy I liked this story even when it has some cheesy expected scenes. It was like seeing an old ghost/evil possession movie. I think it would be a good adaptation movie. This is one of my #2021goals reas books that have been in my tbr forever. This box was received on October 2017😲

I really liked this book. I‘m a fan of DC icons and Marvels. This is about the origin of Catwoman and her relationship with one of Batman helpers, Batwing. Sounds cheesy and stupid but the story is full of action. It was like seeing a DC movie with all the unreal fights, suits, villains. As in movies, some problems were resolved amazingly unreal and some cheesy little romance. The end? well find out. For a YA story it was amazing for me 4⭐️

I read 265/360 pages during #20in4 Readathon @Andrew65
#2021Goals even though this is not a series there are 4 books, as far as I know, that were published by Random Hoyse, related with DC icons. This is the 3rd one I read. Beautiful cover!

Avanders I really appreciate this review.. the book‘s been on my shelves since it came out and I‘ve been… idk, gunshy about reading a superhero book… but I‘ll give it a go 😁😁 3y
Gissy @Avanders It was in shelf since it came out too☺️I read Wonder woman and it was ok and Batman was so so but I really enjoyed this one. 3y

This is the 3rd and final book in this trilogy. I think it started a little bit slow and repetitive in the family drama situation. However, the last half of the book was more interesting with some twists I didn‘t expect. Not much to say without spoiling the story. 3.8⭐️

Fourth book in the Grisha world. So good. There are new characters in this story but they are related with previous books. I recommend to read them in order. For a YA fantasy book, I think it was fantastic, a lot of action. I like Kay and Inej. Those 6 are “terrible”. Book was discussed last week in The Forgotten Book Club, we are only 3 members during pandemic situation. We all loved the book and we are excited to continue the sequel🤗 4/4.5⭐️

Fifth book in The Others series. I think this one was more about family drama related with Officer Monty. I liked Twyla character, even Simon had his reserve to deal with her. It was very slow and finally we can see some romance that took 5 books to see it grow😳(no spoiler since it was obvious) But I still like the series. I have 2 more to read. That beautiful vampire mouth decoration was given to me by @JoScho in 2019. Her mother made it. 3.4⭐️

monalyisha Love that vamp mouth! What a talent, @JoScho 😍! 3y
Gissy Last book read for #Summerween readathon (YouTube) prompts-halloween colors (it has some greenish color and black😜); paranormal; read mostly during the night and with spicy tea.

iread2much This is one of my favorite books in the series because I love how it focuses on Monty and showcases how an awful individual can cause the world to break just as much as groups of bad people. I love all the books in this series! I can‘t wait to see what you think of the next two books. Lake of Silence is probably my overall favorite. 3y

Gissy @iread2much I probably will read that one on September. I read somewhere that another book will be published next year? Have you heard anything? I collected these books one by one because I wanted the hardcovers and they are like out of print. So I bought each copy from different sources. So worthy!! Priceless📚📚📚🙌 3y
iread2much @Gissy ooo, what a fun collection! I love this series so I buy each in hardback as soon as it comes out, as well as the audible version. There is another one coming out! I think March of next year. I can‘t wait, and it‘s going to focus more on the crowd, which will be fun. 😊 3y

I enjoyed this book more that the first one. I think Dani and Zaf were still in the process of an emotional healing and together they would discover these fears. It is second chance romance story, just to give themselves another opportunity to love and be loved. There were so many funny parts including those “sexy” ones. 3.5⭐️

I really enjoyed this novel but besides the mystery, I was fascinated with the history behind the story: how women were treated in India during this period of time and that main character was inspired by Cornelia Sorabaji‘s life. This edition has an interview with author, a glossary, information about Parsi, about Cornelia Sorabaji & even some recipes. It also mention some references. The audiobook help me to know how to pronounce some words.3.85⭐️
