*Probably an obvious choice here, but I haven‘t seen it used yet. Jules Verne is at top left; his illustrator, Hippolyte Léon Benett is pictured just right of Verne. All of the images pictured are Benett‘s; he was the most prolific illustrator of Verne‘s books. If you‘ve read it, you‘ll recognize the scenes. If you haven‘t, maybe you saw the movie? Anyway—Great book & especially great for kids. ♥️

Cinfhen I‘m loving the audio @squirrelbrain but I wouldn‘t start with this as my first audio 🙄It‘s VERY LONG!!!!!! I would recommend a memoir if you want funny definitely Noah Trevor, David Sedaris or Chelsea Handler if you want moving Alan Cumming

No Place of Refuge | Ausma Zehanat Khan

Still working my way (very slowly) through this ARC. So far it‘s taken us #AllAroundTheWorld from Canada, to Greece, Turkey, France & the Netherlands in the search for Audrey, a missing Canadian charity worker based on the Greek islands. Meanwhile Syrian refugee Ali is still looking for his ‘baby‘, girlfriend Israa, who was separated from him in the chaos of the journey to Greece.

rockpools @arlenefinnigan The storyline‘s excellent, and the details just keep kicking you. I think the author has a background in human rights/immigration law. But the relationships... 🙄! Not sure if I‘d be more convinced if I‘d started with book 1 in the series... 5y

Interesting to think what #allaroundtheworld 🌎 meant back in the classical age of Europe and Asia Minor. How small it was and yet how complex and rich. This book was a pre-internet purchase. Back when if you wanted to know anything you likely had to look it up in a book! 📚 #RedroseSeptember
