These #allthebooksof2017 posts have been such a great sick day activity for me.😊I haven‘t kept up with photo challenges the past couple months; somehow I‘ve felt like I just couldn‘t do one more thing! But I‘ve been enjoying looking back on my 2017 reading with these prompts today. Maybe I‘ll manage to keep this one going! These are my picks for #beautifullywrittenbook. These four—all quite different!—stand out as being especially gorgeous.

I know I talk about it a lot, but seriously the most beautiful book I have read in a long time. ❤️

Yeah_I_Read Do you have any idea if these books are a series or if they are just sort-of related by their seasonal theme? I was able to get access to the ARC of Winter, but I‘m not sure if I should read Autumn first 🧐 6y
Reviewsbylola You‘ve made me want to read this. 6y
emilyhaldi @Yeah_I_Read from what I've heard, some of the characters repeat in both books but I don't believe the storyline of one depends on the other. So from what I can tell, you don't have to read Autumn first. 6y

A few books that I‘ve read this year fall into this category but this one stands out slightly. The writing is powerful and the prose beautifully restrained.

KarenUK Omg! I love Sarah Winman.... 3/3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️reads free.... 6y
Cathythoughts Must read this 💫💫💫 6y

I‘ve read a lot of books this year that we‘re beautifully written, but once again, The Familiar stands out to me. Not only is it written beautifully in the more conventional sense, but also in a more unconventional sense as shown above.

#allthebooksof2017 #beautifullywrittenbook I loved the very feel of this book and it‘s Partner but more welll known book The Unlikely Pilgrimage Of Harold Fry. If you haven‘t read them you need to. Books that I went in without great expectations and was blown away..

I haven‘t even written my review of this book yet, as I am currently writing a paper on it, and I want to let it digest a bit before I review it, but this is a #beautifullywrittenbook . It is s collection of short stories, and every word is a crafted work of art. #allthebooksof2017

I read both of these novels this year. Roy's writing is the 💣. I hope I don't have to wait another 20 years for more.

I found this novella so captivating... it's a strange, ethereal tale of love and obsession. The setting of the wild and stormy remote Scottish island, is captured by such gorgeous writing.... and the obsessive love of an older professor and his fragile young wife is told with subtlety and care. It's a novel to allow to sweep over you... it's all about the atmosphere... Pretty cover too!

LeahBergen This sounds good! 6y
