This is just a basic Agatha Christie mystery. My mum has the entire collection of these from the 80s. They look impressive together. Individually? Not so much.

And more softly still:
“Pray love remember. . . .”

Rosemary died a year ago but her husband George thinks she was murdered and it wasn't a suicide. There are 6 people thinking about Rosemary for different reasons and one of them could be the murderer.
I'm a huge Agatha fan but I didn't particularly enjoy this one. I am yet to understand what exactly was the issue, but it is what it is. To better murders and better books hopefully.
2.5/5🌟
PS - Good thriller recommendations, please?🤭
I find that I really enjoy Christie! This is one of her earlier books with no Marple or Poirot, but it was fun and entertaining, and very dated of course. I enjoyed all the characters!
#bookspinbingo - my #doublespin for this month!

Celebrating its centenary this year - this book is perhaps better described as a youthful adventure with high jinks than a mystery. Anne was sweet and foolhardy and alongside her band of fellow adventurers this felt like a grown up Famous Five adventure! There are aristocrats, politicians, jewel thieves, ocean voyages, distant lands, all with an Empire feel. Harmless - but I‘m glad Christie experimented and then moved on!
I am posting one book per day from my extensive, and ever growing, TBR shelves. No description or reason for wanting to read the book, some I've had so long I'm not sure why I got them in the first place.
Day 7

I of course had to pick up an Agatha Christie for the spooky season. This one was a Colonel Race book, which I didn‘t realize at the start. It was an interesting mystery but this one I thought I may had figured out or just thought it was obvious after the bad guy was revealed. But I‘ll always love Agatha.

Didn‘t finish any books, but was able to read (listen to my book) for 2 hours during my workday.
