I didn't finish the Bridge to Neverland (book 5 of the starcatcher series), book 4 ended it well enough for me. So this is my new read, I loved the first book and thought this'll be a nice change for a bit. I've got a busy week ahead with kids off school but hopefully will be able to squeeze it in. Happy reading everyone 📚💙📖 #cursed #retelling #rumplestilskin #ghosts #royalty #truth

I absolutely love this spooky read about the cursed town of Black Spring and the witch that haunts it. I‘ve read it twice and I‘m sure I‘ll read it again when the English translation of the sequel (Oracle) comes out. Squee!! #scarathlondailyprompts #cursed #teamslaughter

Here lately, I've been reading books that have similar themes by accident. I wish I did more paired or flight reads but I don't always put a ton of thought behind my reading strategy. All I know is that I'm marking off books that have been on my TBR shelf for an extensive time.
"Tiger's Curse" has been fun to read so far, not sure I'll continue with the rest of the series.

"Cursed" has been fine as well. We'll see how it ends.

Thanks #NetGalley @NetGalley for an copy of #Cursed Objects: Strange but True Stories of the World's Most Infamous Items This book starts off with a bang including a catchy poem warning of the dire consequences of stealing this book, what qualifies as a cursed object and the stories about specific objects by category. The first chapter tells the fascinating history of the largest blue diamond in the world, the Hope diamond.

This is one of my favourite parts of this movie, and it‘s one of my favourite parts of this book, too.
#potteraday #HarryPotter #SorcerersStone #JKRowling @Linsy #unicorn #unicornblood #cursed

Linsy The ideas put into the slaying of a unicorn add so much depth. They didn't just kill a creature, they killed a pure and defenseless one. It makes a difference. And it draws a stark parallel between what Voldemort was trying to do that night when he tried to kill Harry. And just as in that case, there were consequences. (edited) 5y
GingerAntics @Linsy oh, I hadn‘t drawn those parallels. Harry was a pure, defenceless infant (6 month old?) and Tom tried to kill him. He basically destroyed his body. Same with the unicorn. Very philosophical. Very nice. I love that. 5y
