A great biography of a very magical place!
Excellent biography. Well-rounded with personal and business information. Engaging in a storytelling way while being authentic and factual.
Going to Disneyland Paris next month.
Got my car reads.
Of course I gotta have a languageish book to test out my French haha
(Alice is french words mixed in with the English)
Stella Griffin has broken up with her boyfriend three weeks before prom. Stella does NOT believe in fairy tales, so she is shocked when she somehow ends up in one, with the waiter who saw the breakup. Stella & Reece must work together to find a way home without disrupting the story they‘ve stumbled into. This is a frenemy to sweethearts tale and was a cute retelling of Sleeping Beauty.
Book 54/100 of the year.
I‘ve been feeling super crummy since last week (horrendous cough and I lost my voice), so I bought myself this Disney Haunted Mansion throw with glow-in-the-dark eyes at my local Hallmark. I was really jazzed to find it half off and it was the last one! Made to be. I also picked up a ‘Foolish Mortals‘ mug because hot beverage!
Btw - I changed my name here to match my instagram and my love for all things books, blankets, and hot beverages!
Last night we played and watches The Haunted Mansion.

An interesting read about the formation of Disneyland. Well written and researched but I will say it‘s very male-centric and glosses over or ignores the mistreatment of women and the misogyny that was rampant in Disney‘s early days. Highly recommend reading “The Queens of Animation” by Nathalia Holt alongside any history of Disney in order to get a balanced viewpoint. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
