Hey! Just checking in to let everyone know all is well! Just haven‘t been doing any reading at all - my minimal brain power and energy has been put towards nesting and getting ready for baby Benjamin.💙

Time is such a crazy thing. I‘ve been pregnant for three seasons, but yet it feels like no time at all, and also not soon enough until we meet him.😊

I‘ve been working on building up his little library, with my favourite book being Pig the Pug.🐶

Here‘s my review for a book I just DNF‘d. This is a physical book and I will be donating it. I also have his other book called The Be Happy Attitudes on my shelf that I haven‘t read and I‘ll be donating that one without reading it. Besides, I need the space on my shelf.

Here‘s my progress for this book I‘m currently reading. I‘ve decided that I‘m going to DNF this book. I like that it‘s encouraging but I don‘t like the writing style. It has testimonies of people who have gone through difficult times in life and then after that, he shares tips for getting through difficult times in life and as a result of that, the chapters are really long. This book is not a page turner. It‘s kind of boring.

I started this book. It‘s good so far. It‘s very encouraging.

Just a tiny bit dark in tone, something the adults can appreciate in picture books. Not quite 'original Grimm's fairy tales' type ending, but certainly leans toward delivering a dire fate to the wrong doer as a moral lesson to readers.
Whether depicting the greedy character as fat is the wrong kind of messaging to send to kids today, feels sadly like a question that was just emerging into the mainstream when this book was first published.

I couldn‘t decide what to read so I decided to play this TBR game called Play Your TBR Right. The book I didn‘t want to read was Life‘s Not Fair But God Is Good and the one I really wanted to read was The Divorce Colony. As you can see, I lost so I‘ll be reading the book I don‘t want to read. I don‘t mind reading it. It sounds like it‘ll be encouraging but I‘m just not in the mood to read it right now.

My daughter isn‘t a huge fan of books, so I‘m going to try the good old Pizza Hut way.

Read this for the #pop21 #muslimamerican author. Cute story about sibling rivalry and the challenges of being the oldest sibling. 😃
