Anxiety.
If you've lived with it long enough, you might not even notice it. Maybe your anxiety isn't a problem for you. It's only a problem when people point it out. You were like, "I'm cool." Just before someone says, "Oh, I bet that triggered your anxiety!" What?
I ordered this sight unseen. It looked cute! Read it for the 1st time #outloud to a group of kindergarteners while a couple of teachers were in the room. I got a little nervous on this page. I mean, Are you There God? It's me, Mandy... just reading this puberty 😳 analogy to your kids, nothing to it. Why are we so uptight? I'm asking you, 🇺🇸. I blame the puritans. The author is 🇨🇦. Canadians aren't weired about this stuff.
This book was put in my hands with a vague, “I enjoyed this,“ by a family member. Free is a good price point, so I took it. I only read a chapter of this one before realizing…oh. This is a book about Hemmingway, Paris, and adultery. I've got no attachment to the first two, and greatly dislike the third so…I decided to read something else.
The chapter I read had a lovely narrative voice, though, I'd certainly read other things by the author.
“This Yet finds a way, even when you don't. And Yet knows you will, when you think you won't.“
A super cute, fun book about the “Magical Yet.“ The Magical Yet never gives up, continues to be brave and bold, and guides you to success.
The Magical Yet was written by Angela DiTerlizzi and illustrated by Lorena Alvarez. The illustrations in this book are absolutely beautiful; filled with lots of color. I love this book because it displays such a beautiful message about never giving up. The magical “yet“ is all of the things you can accomplish if you are brave and never give up. This book is super cute and I would for sure read this to my students at the beginning of the year.
