Not from the #indiebookstore but bought direct from Slovenian #indiepublisher Beletrina, which always have an interesting choice by various authors (and always high quality translations) and nice covers (especially hardback books).

so-soI really wanted to love this short story collection. The themes of the stories were great, and I love a good ghost story, but in this case they just didn't seem to go together. In many, the ghost element felt like it was added as an afterthought, or the story was stretched in some weird ways to accommodate it. 30pgs into this thriller I received from @Jenshootsweddings Very interesting so far, the way the dialogue splits in two directions at times is a bit disconcerting, but it's keeping me interested so that's a plus. panDebut and beautifully written but not a book that held my attention or captured my heart. It's a story set in the mid 1960's involving two families who share a small island off the coast of Maine. They are wealthy and privileged but beneath their perfect appearances they are a miserable bunch. The story moves slowly but not in a good way. There is no real resolutions and I was glad when this book reached its conclusion. #IndiePublisher
