Today‘s #letskeeplitsyactive prompt by @ljuliel is what writer do you buy instantly?
These are a few of mine - also Kate Morton too -

ljuliel These posts should be giving people a really nice selection of authors to choose from ! Thanks for such a nice post. Which is your favorite of Nelson Demille ? I know he‘s written several, but I‘ve never tried one yet ! Did he write the book about Flight 800 that crashed or was that someone else ? 5y
Jerdencon @ljuliel Yes - that was him! My favorite of his is the Gold Coast! Took place very close to where I live and when I was reading it - one of the scenes was literally down the block from the camp I was working at. 5y
ljuliel Isn‘t that neat ? I think it always adds a bit more interest if you‘re familiar with the area where the book takes place. 5y
Jerdencon @ljuliel I agree! It‘s fun when you can actually picture the place! 5y

#LetsKeepLitsyActive

This is a book that touched me. I found it unexpectedly funny at times and I loved the message of small connections making a great impact in people‘s lives. I have enjoyed all of Mr Backman‘s books that I have read, they are ‘keepers‘ on my bookshelves!
Perhaps it is time for a re-read? 🤔
@ljuliel

Lucy_Anywhere I loved Beartown - I need to read other books by the same author 5y
readingjedi Nice Backman stack you got there - he's one of my favourite authors right now. 5y
Bookwormjillk I‘m rereading Ove right now. I love it. 5y

ljuliel Thank you. I need to give this another try. With his, I always hit a clog a little ways in. I did that several times with Britt Marie , but I e day I was in the mood and just pushed past the clog and ended up really liking the book a lot ! I think I‘d be the same with his others. Thanks for sharing. 5y
rwmg He is so good at taking people you don't much like at first and then breaking your heart over them
5y
Andrew65 @Lucy_Anywhere Us Against You was also a great follow up to Beartown. 5y
Andrew65 @rwmg Totally agree. 5y
Andrew65 Ove is a great book, a personal favourite, and it does get you. 5y

The Light Between Oceans | M. L. Stedman

I‘m posting this in response to @ljuliel ‘s Challenge to #LetsKeepLitsyActive by posting a book that moved us emotionally.

Could post many but The Light Between Oceans challenged my moral compass and made me cry long ugly tears! 😢😭😢😭😢😭😢😭😢 Such a great book and stayed with me. ❣️😍

What book moved you emotionally? Amy emotions. #BooksMoveUsEmotionally

TheBookHippie I‘ve thrown a few books in my day as all #BOTMBUDDYREADERS know. However Girl in Pieces had me sobbing in recognising myself as a teen and all the teens I mentor now and in the past 5y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Can certainly see why! And I always worry about your walls and ornaments. #ChuckMyBook 5y
TheBookHippie @Andrew65 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I‘ve only debated books so far ...😱 5y

OriginalCyn620 Thanks for the tag @Andrew65! When I think of books that moved me emotionally, dog stories come to mind, the first one being 5y
Crazeedi This year this one, but there are others... 5y
TheAromaofBooks Gah, this book got me, too! I thought the author did a really amazing job making Isabelle a sympathetic character even when I disagreed with her. I cried buckets over this one. 5y
Crazeedi Also this one stuck with me because I couldn't believe someone who grew up in these circumstances made something of herself 5y
MrBook 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 5y

Andrew65 @Cinfhen Yes same for me with Sarah‘s Key! 5y
