I'm doing a diversify your reading challenge and March is Classics. I already had this one laying around and hadn't read it so this was it. This is a deeply thought provoking book. A bit depressive and in a way sweet. Wasn't my favourite book but I can see the appeal. Glad I've read it at least once!

The Wicked Will Rise | Danielle Paige

So sad that i had to stop reading this book as I needed to read of Mice and Men and the book thief for school i didnt want to read three books at the same time however i hope i have time in the nea future to finish it as i loved the first one and the beginning of the second.

Wicked Prey | John Sandford

Day 10 of #MelodiousMusicals and we have the song No Good Deed from the highly popular and entertaining musical #Wicked.
Quite a difficult choice today, I did think of using Lennie and George from #OfMiceAndMen which like Wicked is about an unusual friendship. Instead I have chosen the Wicked theme and gone for Wicked Prey from the excellent Lucas Davenport Series by John Sandford.
My favourite song would be Defying Gravity.

CrowCAH Defying Gravity is another great choice from this musical! Have you read the book? I have and prefer the musical, which is more light hearted and punny.

JewelsEnd Took me time to really like the Davenport series as I preferred his Kidd series and thought Lucas Davenport to be quite a cad initially. But I kept reading and sandford did evolve his character after several books. 7y

JewelsEnd As for Wicked I fear I love the ah... most popular song "popular" best, sung by the great Chenoweth, as well as the "I'm not that girl " song... 7y

Of Mice and Men is one of the classics that I really feel lives up to it's reputation. Steinbeck often had great insight into the life of a writer, as reflected in the quote above.
