pickIt took me a while to read the Mortal Instruments series so I wasn't sure if I would enjoy the Infernal Devices series. That being said, I gave it a shot and I loved it. I love Tessa: her love of reading, her passion, her loyalty. I love Jem and Will: their friendship is inspiring. I also loved how there were so many characters overlapping from the two series. pickThis novella was good... but also somewhat disturbing. The events that happened in this story should never happen to anyone... it definitely sheds a light on why Neferet has so much anger and darkness surrounding her. That being said, I think she could have worked through her past and still turned out good instead of manipulating everyone she possibly could, even those who did her no wrong. Overall: 4/5 ⭐️

On June 20th, 2017, I graduated from college. My parents gave me this book for a graduation present.. My mom, who remembers everything, remembered that I said I wasn't too old to get a book like this one. It meant the world to me that she not only listened, but that my dad and her picked out a book with such meaning. I will always hold this book dear to my heart and know that no matter what: that they wish me more.
