This was a book club pick. A very fast paced book but predictable. There was a movie made on this that I need to watch. Kathryn‘s says good bye to her pilot husband Jack not knowing it would be the last time she would see him. His plane goes down and an investigation starts to see if terrorists are involved #winterreading #library #familydrama

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

Susanita @Eggs Thanks! I don‘t think I‘d even seen a blue jay feather before that wasn‘t attached to a blue jay, but I just happened to look down and see it on the sidewalk. 5mo

Sydney‘s story of how he grew up is heartbreaking. However, he begins to find his way around he seems to have lost his identity and the book rambles on quite a bit…. which makes it hard to follow.

This book has been on my #tbr for about two decades. Finally cracked the spine and, three chapters in, it‘s entertaining and depressing. I can‘t help but feel sorry for the traumatized, smart-mouthed pre-teen protagonist.

Looking at reviews, this seems to be a novel that people either love or hate. If you‘ve read it, did you love it or hate it?

BarbaraJean I read it years ago, but I still remember it vividly! I don‘t know if I could say I loved it (lots of it was very difficult emotionally)—but it was absolutely amazing. I remember being blown away that it was written by a man! 6mo
AmyG I couldn‘t tell you what it‘s about. I only remember loving it. 6mo

Books go out. Books come in.

I picked up a copy of the tagged book from the local freecycle group. It‘s a chunkster!

Meanwhile, I‘m saying sayonara to this Michener book and have started whittling away at the June Real Simple issues.

I‘m also pleased to report that I asked myspouse to go through a pile of t-shirts, and he unhauled enough to fill a tote bag.
