Historically my birthday month is the time I read the least. I‘d like to change that so I‘m hosting this quick #BirthdayReadathon
May 7th - 10th. I‘m focusing on pages not create any goal you want.

repost for @Andrew65, @Tove_Reads :
Following an idea from @Tove_Reads we are launching a #Readathon throughout May to read books from our own shelves, called #ShelfSweeper.
We hope you will join us. This Readathon is dedicated to the memory of the wonderful Litten @eanderson who will be sorely missed, so as well as your own shelf why not challenge yourself to read one book off her shelf. We are also using the tag #4Elizabeth
Please tag us.
January 2025 Book #11
This retelling for me is poor integrating and even boring. I‘m not the target audience but didn‘t like it. However, the illustrations are beautiful made by the author. 2⭐️
I started my #BookSpin last night during #Readathon, but went to bed & didn't finish it until earlier today. This is a hopeful story for libraries, librarians, & the people who love them, even though it's Fantasy. It's a hopeful story for the fight against evil & those trying to destroy people's ability to freely access information. “Knowledge is a light!“ The Director was made scarier by current events, but this book is a reminder to be brave!
January 2025 Book #9
This is the conclusion (supposedly) of Mirren Triggs trilogy) I know first book is already translated (The Snow Girl) which is a Netflix series.
I liked the conclusion. At the end we see a mature Mirren who decides to make a choice in her relationship and life in general. The case in this story is so sad. A body was found with his “mouth sewn” and a father looking for his son who disappeared 30 years ago. 3.8/4⭐️
Got this comic during the Houston Book Crawl last year at a comic store in the Third Ward. Loved my visit there and enjoyed the comic too. @DeweysReadathon #deweysreadathon #readathon
Every day should be a reading in a hammock day! @DeweysReadathon #readathon #deweysreadathon
I went to Grammercy Books and found the tagged book for #IndependentBookstoreDay. Now I'm back home to continue the #Readathon!
Almost 1/3 thru the readathon, and I'm making good progress on my book pile and am almost done with the tagged audiobook, that I've been listening to while I walked and did some house cleaning. @DeweysReadathon #readathon #deweysreadathon
Well, my 34th consecutive Readathon is very far from my most distinguished one. Between attending to my horrifically gross eye cold and the exhaustion I‘m dealing with from six straight nights of frequently-interrupted sleep, I only finished my first book at the start of Hour 6. Now I‘m finally starting my second. I hope I can squeeze at least one more in, but I‘ll probably have to sleep again, so. 🤷♀️ #readathon #deweyapril
