3.25⭐️ I thought it was a decent read, but definitely not a favourite. I am trying to expand the scope of the books I read and this is part of that experiment. #2024 #bookreview #romance #fiction #contemporary #summerreads

3.5⭐️ Was a #bookclub selection for May that I was unable to get to, but managed to read it now and I really enjoyed it. It has some dark elements to the story, but I thought it was quite good and glad that I was able to read it. #2024 #contemporary #fiction #bookreview

4.5⭐️ It was a very fascinating read, which was very in-depth about how American evangelicals are becoming more and more extreme and not in a good way. What‘s really important is that the author travels to the various places around the US that are highlighted. Highly recommended. #2024 #nonfiction #bookreview #christianity #evangelicals

4 ⭐️ This was a #bookclub selection and a #reread in April. And I enjoyed it much more this time than I did the first time that I read it. I think it was because I could comprehend it better this time around than I did the first time. I liked the interspersing of newspaper columns with the story. Even though there are some dark themes in this book, I found it to be fairly easy to read. #2024 #bookreview #fiction #greatdepression

3.5⭐️ Thought it was ok; while it was delightful as 84 Charing Cross Road, it wasn‘t nearly as endearing. It was just ok. I didn‘t like this as much as its predecessor. #2024 #bookreview #nonfiction #epistolary #diaryentries #london #uk #travel

3.5⭐️ For the most part, I enjoyed this read. There were some things that were a bit far fetched, but I had a good time reading it. Read it for the latest Book Cougars #readalong. #2024 #romance #fantasy #fiction #bookreview

Lots to unpack
I'd rather stay packed and move on
5 tropes too many
⭐️⭐️

Well, that went completely off the fucking rails. It started off great, really had me hooked. Then it just got to be too much. Ghosts (I mean FURIES), cults, serial killers, misogyny, perimenopausal madness... bro just pick ONE. Not every single thing needs to packed into a stand alone book. ⬇️⬇️

reading.rainb0w It took me over a week to read the last 50 pages because I couldn't stand how unhinged it all became. 😮‍💨 2mo
