A Spanish nonfiction biography aimed for children, but I think all Frida enthusiasts will enjoy this book. I even learned a few things about her that I didn‘t know. The text is not too heavy, and the illustrations are perfect. Some of Frida‘s art is a little strong, but this book is wonderful at still acknowledging the pain, but not too much as it is a children‘s book. #fridakahlo #mexicanartist #spanishbooks #isabelthomas #mariannamadriz

I was able to scoop an autographed copy of Circe and a Spanish book from Isabel Allende. Tbh I haven‘t read a Spanish book in a very long time and thought it would be a nice challenge. Can‘t wait to read them both!

DeborahSmall Circe was my favourite read of the year, I read an arc early in the year but nothing has beaten it. Couple came close though, I managed to get a US and UK signed copy too. Also love Isabel Allende so much ❤️📚 5y

This is Carrasco's debut novel translated from Spanish—a great read about a boy who is fleeing from an evil man chasing him. Kind of similar to The Road and Signs Preceding the End of the World. It's a bit dystopian and a bit western at the same time. I could really picture this boy's struggles throughout. It's set in an unknown landscape in an unknown timeframe, painting a stark portrait of survival, fear, loneliness, and trust in society. 🏞
