My February #bookspin list, accompanied by the book @TheAromaofBooks sent me as a 2021 #bookspin prize winner which just arrived. Thank you Sarah ❤️ I‘m excited to read this one!

Anyway, my February list leans heavily towards #swoonathon romance and #blitsy reads off my shelves for Black History Month, along with spots for #roll100 and my continued reread of the Hollows series.

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!!! Glad it got there eventually! 😂 now

This was the book I needed right now. A beautiful story of love, loss, ghosts, memory, grief and family. I couldn‘t put it down. 5⭐️

One of many #botm titles languishing unread on my shelves & I‘m sad I didn‘t pick this one up sooner. The bookmark with the note by Katie Cotugno says, “Stretch out someplace green & lose yourself in the luminous, haunted world of A Million June‘s — a deeply human story with a magical twist.” Perfect description ❤️

MeganAnn This was also a #roll100 book for number 24 @PuddleJumper and my #doublespin @TheAromaofBooks 1d

[Hannah calls] “But soft! What light through yonder window breaks?”
“It‘s me,” I yell back.
“Wait. June? You‘re positively glowing. I thought that was the east and you were the sun.”
“Yeah, I‘m ovulating. Common mistake.”
“We‘ll get those incandescent ovaries down here…”

I‘m three pages into this book with a Romeo & Juliet storyline and came across this *gem* of a quote. 😂❤️👏🏻 If this is any indication of the rest, I might just love it.

Her First Taste of Fire | Kristen Painter

Pickpick

It‘s no secret that I‘m a big fan of Kristen Painter‘s work. This newest title is no exception! This is my #noshamereadathon22 #selfpublishedromance

Painter takes all of the supernatural creatures you can possibly think of, throws them all into her world together, then manages to make them all unique and interesting in ways you‘ve never thought of. In Shadowvale, everyone has a curse and the town is a refuge from the outside world for them. ⬇️

MeganAnn Here, Nasha is the daughter of Famine & next in line to take over as one of the horsemen of the apocalypse. Her curse is she cannot taste anything… until she receives a gift from the Chocolate Dragon. Charlie is summoned to the dragon census where he‘ll be assigned a mate & his curse will be exposed. Nasha agrees to pretend to be his mate at the census in exchange for his chocolate recipe, where they end up having to compete in the games. 4.5⭐️ 3d
MeganAnn This is also book 5 in the Shadowvale series which checks off a title for #seriesread2022 @TheSpineView 3d

I finished this early last week. I love this series & this ties with Recipe for Persuasion as my favorite so far.

I love how Dev finds the essential essence of each of Austen‘s stories, then turns that into something completely new. Each book is a new story in its own right with that core essence expanded on & brought into the modern world. Overall if you love a modern romance with characters who stand by their convictions, this is for you. 5⭐️

MeganAnn @sprainedbrain tagging you because you mentioned wanting to know my thoughts. It was fantastic!! ❤️ 3d

Catching up on a few reviews starting with this #NYWD22 title which I finished last night.

I enjoyed the 80s references, the big hair with a mind of its own, the teenage girls finding out who they are, all intermixed with a little dabbling in witchcraft. I liked it, but didn‘t fall in love. I read a few pages here and there, but never got fully engrossed in the story. What I did really love was the ending — it was worth it for that ending. ⬇️

MeganAnn Part of it may have been timing as I‘ve very busy with work the last two weeks with less time for reading. Or it may have been that I am reading a few other things all at the same time & find myself less focused on one thing right now. Overall, I‘d recommend this for the ending alone, but probably wouldn‘t read it again myself. I do think it would make for a fun throwback movie like The Craft or Heathers. 3⭐️ for most of it, 4.5⭐️ for the ending 3d
monalyisha YES to all of this! 3d

#swoonathonswap wishlist! On the survey I promised to post a list of romance titles on my wishlist so to anyone stalking my feed here you go. It was hard to narrow this down because there are so many awesome romance novels out there I haven‘t read yet. Anything off my Litsy TBR or Goodreads wishlist shelves would also be wonderful. (Did I mention I want to read ALL the books??) 😆❤️

Would anyone else like to post their #romancewishlist ?

Finished my first #nywd22 read and it was fantastic! I loved this memoir of growing up & trying to fit in.
Tran writes in a way that is honest & funny, drawing connections between his life growing up & classic literature. I loved the connections he made & how he honestly stated how he felt then vs. looking back what he sees now. Things rarely look the same looking backwards & I appreciated how he wove those distinctions into his narrative. ⬇️

MeganAnn I identified with some of the challenges of growing up in a small town (mine was WAY smaller), trying to fit in & figure out who you are. I also enjoyed his stories about coming to America as a refugee & dealing with the cultural differences between his family & friends. Combining all that with the punk friends he found to be his people makes for a compelling narrative of his life. Thanks to @JackOBotts for putting this on my radar! #newyearwhodis (edited) 2w

The Starless Sea | Erin Morgenstern
post image
Pickpick

The Night Circus is one of my all time favorites so I was both excited and terrified to read this book. What if it wasn‘t as good? What if it ruined this author for me?

I shouldn‘t have worried as this cemented my love for Morgenstern‘s work. This IS the book I needed after the The Night Circus. It quietly pulls together the threads of the stories that capture us, tightening the weave of them into something more than their individual parts. ⬇️

MeganAnn 1/2: The Night Circus was magical with a nod to the way stories can capture our imagination. This was all about those stories and how they can influence our lives, with a weave of Magic woven throughout. I think reading one of her novels enriches the reading of the other and I‘m not sure I‘ll be able to completely separate them in my mind going forward. 2w
MeganAnn 2/2: I also think one of the things I most love about The Night Circus is how it grows richer with each reread — I notice more details, make more connections, and generally fall more in love with it each time. It‘s one of the few books that still hold that magic for me after several rereads. Finishing The Starless Sea, I can already tell that this will be the same. The next time I read it, it will be richer, I‘ll see more & fall more in love.❤️ 2w
Jas16 I had the same trepidation about reading this one and ended up loving it too. Wonderful review! 2w

Reggie I have only read the Night Circus once but hold such affection for it. I‘ll never forget when Widget makes that vial for Billy that contains his tree. Just knowing that something is so important to someone. Anyways before I get emotional. Great post. I haven‘t read this one, yet. 2w
MeganAnn @Reggie I love that scene in the Night Circus! It makes me emotional too. I definitely think you‘ll like this one whenever you get to it. 2w

6/6: Miscellaneous #noshamereadathon22

1. Western: As Good As Gone OR One Thousand White Women; very different titles I own that fall under the western category so this one will depend on what I‘m in the mood for.
2. Inspirational: When Calls the Heart; another one I don‘t own but want to read. I love the tv series and am curious about the book

All subject to change should something else catch my eye or mood. #NSR22

The Grace Year | Kim Liggett
post image

5/6: Horror #noshamereadathon22
This is the hardest category because I generally do not read horror, but I do like supernatural books and sometimes a gothic story, especially if the two overlap.

1. Thriller: The Grace Year
2. Gothic: Interview with the Vampire
3. Slasher: ??? Any recommendations that aren‘t too scary or that have a supernatural theme?
4. Supernatural: A Terrible Fall of Angels
#NSR22

Nessavamusic Good picks. For slasher, feel free to interpret that however you like. You could even go younger, like a classic RL Stine book! 3w
MeganAnn @Nessavamusic that‘s a good idea! I looked through some YA options, but didn‘t think about checking younger titles. 🤔Maybe I‘ll check out my son‘s shelf of middle grade titles for something. I could probably handle those. Thanks!! 3w
See All 7 Comments
Reggie For a slasher maybe try this one, and it‘s free on kindle. It was funny and I really liked the characters. 3w
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I second @MaleficentBookDragon suggestion. The slasher scenes were good but then there's some standard YA drama. Not too scary, just a bit graphic. 3w
MeganAnn @MaleficentBookDragon @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I have not read that one. I usually stay away from this genre because I‘m a big chicken! It sounds like I may be able to handle that one though so I‘ll have to check the library. Thank you!! 😘✨ 3w

2. Hard Sci-fi: A Closed & Common Orbit (Wayfarers 2)
3. Steampunk: An Alchemy of Masques & Mirrors
4. Speculative Fiction: Severance (also my #roll100 second roll for January)
5. Cyberpunk: Warcross; one I don‘t already own but would like to read. Will probably get it from the library or choose something else

1. High Fantasy: tagged
2. Urban Fantasy: Black Water Sister
3. Sword & Sorcery: Red Sister
4. Grimdark: Gideon the Ninth
5. When We Were Magic

This was the easiest section to fill. I had more than one title on my TBR shelf for each category and very well may change my mind on on any of these depending on my mood and what I feel like reading throughout the year. #NSR22

1/6: Romance
1. Contemporary: Plan to use the next contemporary romance from my prepaid #readromancerepeat subscription
2. Historical: Bringing Down the Duke OR the tagged book as I‘ll probably read both this year
3. Self-published: Her First Taste of Fire
4. Dark: Neon Gods; this is only title I don‘t already own

A fun looks at my stats for 2021. 110 books read! 🎉

Goodreads shows my total as 111, StoryGraph shows 109. There is one story I read that was a freebie from the author‘s website, GR counted it but it‘s not on SG. Also, SG allowed me to mark a book as DNF & not count it towards my total while also taking it off my TBR, GR doesn‘t give that option so my one DNF is marked as read. ⬇️

MeganAnn Continued: I also think SG‘s LGBTQIA+ category is incorrect & missing several titles. By my count, it should be nearly as much as the Historical and Contemporary genres (17-18 books). And several books I read has excellent supporting characters who where gay or lesbian as well, but the MC was straight so I didn‘t count those in my number. However, even with those small things, it‘s fun to look at all of these stats for the year. 3w
elkeOriginal SG has been really good in making data fixes when I send a note about incorrect info - if you help them recategorize LGBTQIA+ (or any genres) it only makes their data better across the board! 3w

My #lastfirst read is The Starless Sea. Last book started in 2021 and it will be the first book finished in 2022.

I hoped I might have time to finish it by the new year but much of my reading time was taken up by other things. I‘m just shy of halfway and loving it. Hoping to make a big dent in this one today with lots of reading time and not much else.

I love the idea of describing cold weather as poetry!
“…The weather. It‘s like a poem. Where each word is more than one thing at once and everything‘s a metaphor. The meaning condensed into rhythm and sound and the spaces between sentences. It‘s all intense and sharp, like the cold and the wind.”

It‘s definitely poetry here today with a current temp of -15 F, but with the windchill it feels like -35 F. ❄️

I don‘t think I‘ve posted this one yet. My #worstof21 are easily these three.

The Bad-Ass Librarians of Timbuktu was a DNF due to the misleading blurb. I loved the info about the books and the subject‘s family, but couldn‘t handle weeding through political & war movements to get to those snippets.

The 100 is all teen angst & romance with very little else. Skip the book, watch the tv show instead. The show has so much more depth which I loved.⬇️

MeganAnn The Southern Book Club‘s Guide to Slaying Vampires was a complete let down. I hated the gaslighting, how the women were treated & how they just sort of accepted it. So much more could have been done with this premise! I am not a fan of how this author wrote his main female characters. I guess I‘ve just read too many vampire novels with strong, kick-ass women which I prefer — I‘m looking at you Anita Blake! 🤷‍♀️ Thanks for the tag @MaleficentBookDragon 4w
megnews Thanks for sharing!! Happy new year!! 4w
MaleficentBookDragon I really liked Southern Bookclub because it made me so angry and frustrated. I wanted to just shake those ladies. 🤬Grady is a must read author for me though he always has one scene in each book that totally grosses me out. His latest book is my top pick of the year.😁 4w
MeganAnn @MaleficentBookDragon seems like you liked it for the same reason I disliked it! I wanted to shake those ladies too and I kept hoping that maybe they‘d wake up and redeem themselves. 🤷‍♀️ I‘m not really a far of horror usually either, but I do love all things supernatural. I‘ve been debating on whether or not to give Hendrix another try for #authoramonth in October 2022. 4w
elkeOriginal The gaslighting of those southern ladies seemed all too real. So while I hated it, it seemed well written and sadly accurate 😕 3w

#roll100 choices!

Since I had over 250 TBR books on my shelves I doubled up my list giving me two choices for each number. I can choose the one that most appeals to me that month, or I can read all four if time allows.

Roll 1: is either A Million Junes or Women Talking
Roll 2: is either The Valley of Horses or Severance

Right now I‘m leaning towards A Million Junes and Severance, but we‘ll see what the rest of January brings.

PuddleJumper Some very different choices there. Good luck! 4w

This took me awhile to read with the holidays. It‘s a slow book, but in a beautiful way that keeps you wondering about Eliza‘s journey & where it will lead. The gold rush is a time I haven‘t read much about so I enjoyed the glimpses into that period & how Eliza navigated it, as well as the prejudices different races faced as they all came to California. Allende is not an author to pick up for a fast read, but one I find is best savored. ⬇️

MeganAnn This is the second book I‘ve ever read by Allende. While I think “The Japanese Lover”which I read a few years ago remains my favorite, this was a good second and I‘ll likely pick up more by her in the future. Read this for #authoramonth @Soubhiville 1mo

@Clwojick inspired me to make journal pages for my 2022 reading challenges. My goal is to read more books off my own tbr shelves so I‘m focusing only on challenges that will help me do so.

#authoramonth2022 with the TBR book covers I already own added. I own 7 books by 6 authors & have books by 4 other authors on my GR tbr.

#seriesread2022 added TBR owned series, along with single titles next up in series I‘ve already read (ex. new Outlander)⬇️

MeganAnn I‘m also doing #roll100 @PuddleJumper but haven‘t quite figured out that list and how I want it to look yet. @Clwojick do you have a spread for that one yet?? 📚And I‘ll continue #bookspin @TheAromaofBooks with a new spread with list and #bookspinbingo board made for each month as I‘ve been doing this year. Labeled as a dark, feminist retelling of Snow White, this was a fun read. I wouldn‘t consider it to be any darker than the original Grim version. However it was delightfully feminist & original. I think the author managed to find the essence of the female characters, allowing us to see deeper into their hearts then before & why that might lead them to certain choices. Set in a land cursed with perpetual winter it‘s perfect for this time of year.⬇️

MeganAnn There are no princes, but we do get a bit of romance in the sweet way Lynet explored her emerging feelings for another girl. The main story focuses on the relationship between Lynet & stepmom Mina. The ending gave me all the feels as Mina & Lynet find a different ending than the original fairytale. This would be a perfect read for teen girls of any age who like fantasy or fairytales. Thanks to @Mommamanzi for gifting this 2yrs ago in the #cozyswap 1mo

This was a fun mashup of romance tropes. We have werewolves who are also cowboys, a male mc with a military past & a dark secret, unrequited love (Blaze), & friends to lovers (Dakota finally sees him as more than her best friend). And while that might seem like a lot of tropes for one book, it all works together here. My only complaint is that I was missing some world building & side character details, probably because it‘s book 5 in a series ⬇️

MeganAnn I‘ll definitely go back and read the series from the beginning at some point because I loved this one. This was also my December #doublespin @TheAromaofBooks and it was my first book read from my #readromancerepeat box. If you didn‘t see my previous post, this book included a map at the beginning as well which was very helpful in picturing the Wolf Pack Run compound. #mapsinbooks ❤️ (edited) 1mo

#wintersolsticeswap #wss went out priority mail today and should arrive on Monday @sprainedbrain @Chrissyreadit ❄️✨🎉🌲🔥

In other #bookmail news, I got my #lmpbc book for last round back. It was fun to read all your notes. Looks like we all felt sort of meh about this one - had some good things (trio of women friends, poc women in tech) but was very slow and the main couple was missing some chemistry. @cwarnier @Annie1215 @BethM

All cozied up in bed getting ready to start this December #doublespin book. I‘m pleasantly surprised to find a map inside! I love #mapsinbooks but rarely see them in romance novels.

TheAromaofBooks I literally want to read this book just because of the map! It should be some kind of law that all books come with maps! 😂 2mo

Finished my November #bookspin last night. This is #8 in The Hollows series. The first half is slower than I remember, but necessary to set up the big action & choices Rachel makes at the end, which in turn sets up where the series goes from here. I took my previous rating from 5 to 4⭐️ after this reread.

Read 9 books counting this one. Mostly romance - I needed some HEAs this month. No bingos, but I did finish both my #bookspin and #doublespin.

The feature lineup for #litsycrafters

The goal is to bring crafters together over a shared interest, share tips & tricks and maybe learn new things together. You can participate as much or as little as you like.

I‘m very excited to hopefully get more painting/crafting done because that was the first thing to fall off my list in 2021 & I really want to get back to it.

Check out @Catsandbooks and @curiouserandcurioser pages for more details.

December #bookspin list.

Included some wintery books from my shelves, an Isabel Allende book on my shelf + a spot for one more for #authoramonth, & the books from my #readromancerepeat box.

Both old & new categories including “from a previous bookspin list” & “received in a swap” for a book I haven‘t read from a previous swap; ❄️ “winter/holiday book” for something seasonal.

Added a spot for a book I receive in the #wintersolsticeswap

The contents of my #readromancerepeat box from The Ripped Bodice. Both books sound like a lot of fun & the sloth socks are so cute! They say Slow Down on the bottom 😆🦥❤️

Donut Fall in Love is about a movie star who hires a professional baker to help prepare for his TV cooking show debut. The punny title is fun & I love baking shows.🍩😍

Wild Cowboy Wolf is a fresh spin on classic tropes combining 2 sub genres - cowboys & werewolves. 🤠❤️🐺

Came home from spending Thanksgiving with my in-laws to find this bookish goodness on my doorstep! My #wintersolsticeswap from @erank58 arrived. 🎉❄️✨

+ my first box for The Ripped Bodice‘s Romance of the Month Club. I‘ve been looking for a book subscription box that isn‘t just popular titles or YA. I didn‘t want so many extra goodies, but I didn‘t want only books either. I love romance so I thought I‘d try this one. Contents coming in next post…

Zandbroz Variety | Fargo, ND (Bookstore)

@GingerAntics here are the local bookstores!

Barnes & Noble is the biggest with the most selection. It‘s also the easiest to get to.

Zandbroz Variety (downtown Fargo, tagged) carries books & other things. They usually have new popular literary fiction reads along with some older books, but not a huge selection of genre reads. They always have a shelf of local books from Minnesota & North Dakota authors. Parking can be tricky. zandbroz.com
⬇️

MeganAnn 1/3: Ferguson Books & More is new in West Fargo, but the owners have other locations in ND that have done well. They carry both new and used titles. I haven‘t been there yet because the whole area was under construction all summer, but I hope to visit it soon. https://www.fergusonbooks.com (edited) 2mo
MeganAnn 2/3: There are two great used bookstores as well. Books at a Fifth is near Barnes & Noble and West Acres Mall. It‘s small, but they pack a lot of used books in the space. I always find some gems there for great deals. https://www.facebook.com/Books-at-a-Fifth-137204889711891 📚 B.D.S. Books is the second. It‘s been around a long time and has a ton of used books. It‘s close by downtown as well. https://m.facebook.com/BDS-Books-266360752885/ 2mo
MeganAnn 3/3: If you are a library user, both the Fargo Public Library and the West Fargo Library are great. I actually use both depending on who has what and what part of town I‘m going to be in. Depending on where in town you live, there‘s probably one somewhat close to you. Fargo Library has three locations and you can put titles on hold from all of them to pick up at whichever location you use most. (edited) 2mo

GingerAntics We actually live on MN side of the boarder in Moorhead. I‘ve got my Moorhead library card, but I honestly have more luck finding books from my Dallas library card than there. Plus, they only let you keep books for 7 days, no matter how long the book is. 2mo
MeganAnn @GingerAntics ah yes the Moorhead library is not great from what I remember. I can‘t believe they only let you keep them for 7 days! I looked at the Fargo library website and they do offer free library cards to LARL library patrons, which I believe Moorhead‘s is. So looks like you can get one there as well and might have better luck. And the Main Library is right across the river in downtown Fargo so it might be the easiest to get to. 2mo
MeganAnn @GingerAntics Direct link to their website: https://fargond.gov/city-government/departments/library/services/library-cards 📚 Also, I‘m curious which bookstore you were at that didn‘t even have Shakespeare! Honestly I do most of my shopping either at the local B&N or online at B&N or bookshop.org. The nice thing about B&N is if I‘m looking for a specific title I can check online to see if it‘s in stock before running to the store. 2mo
GingerAntics @MeganAnn I honestly don‘t remember. I would remember the website if I saw it again. I just did a Google search and looked on a couple websites. They had one Shakespeare and it was something weird and obscure, not even something that was likely to be taught in high school or at one of the colleges. 2mo

A fantastic #newyearwhodis list from @JackOBotts 🎉😍 I‘ve already read #1&3 - loved both. The tagged book is on my #newyearwhodis2022 list also & I read it last January because it was on @BarbaraJean ‘s list!

The top 3 pictured are already on my TBR list so I will definitely read those. I‘ve been meaning to read more Matt Haig books for years. I‘ve also been meaning to try Colson Whitehead. There is No Good Card looks fascinating & new to me ⬇️

BarbaraJean Ooooh, this looks like a great list! I‘m going to be stalking so many people‘s lists today!! 2mo
MeganAnn The Cause of Freedom looks like it may be a difficult but important read and is also one I hadn‘t heard of previously. I‘m hoping to get to it as well at some point during 2022 if not in January - mostly depending on my mood and if I can mentally fit both that and Stamped in the same month. The Whispering Dead looks like a fun supernatural mystery type book I hadn‘t seen before and if time allows I hope to read that as well. 2mo
MeganAnn Thanks @monalyisha for such an excellent match! You are a rockstar at matching up lists ✨🎉😍😘 (edited) 2mo

MeganAnn @Cinfhen I‘m very excited for that one! I had stacked it on litsy from someone‘s post (can‘t remember whose) a long time ago and then forgot about it. I‘m so glad @JackOBotts list has brought it back to my attention! 2mo
monalyisha I actually didn't much like We Ride Upon Sticks. But it showed up on a lot of lists! I'm weirdly (maliciously? I hope not! 😅) looking forward to reading your review & seeing what camp you fall into. 2mo
monalyisha I bought the Matt Haig for my MIL this Christmas. I hope it's great for your & for her sake! ;) My favorite of his is The Humans (which you may know...was that on your #FreakyFriday list? It feels like so long ago now). 2mo
MeganAnn @monalyisha @Cinfhen We Ride Upon Sticks is on my TBR because of a lot of great reviews on Litsy… now I‘m curious on which camp I‘ll fall into as well! 2mo
MeganAnn @monalyisha I haven‘t read The Humans, but I may have had The Radleys on my #freakyfriday list? I can‘t remember anymore, but that‘s the one of his I loved and keeps me thinking I really should read more of his stuff. I also loved his middle Christmas series starting with The Boy Who Saved Christmas. 2mo
monalyisha Oh, I‘ve been meaning to check out that MG series! Maybe this December? 🤷‍♀️ 2mo
monalyisha I bet you‘ll like We Ride Upon Sticks. I was probably just in a funk. 🙈 Still! The intrigue! 2mo
MeganAnn @monalyisha it‘s a perfect quick December read! I saw Netflix recently released a movie based on the first book as well which is actually A Boy Called Christmas (my bad🤷‍♀️). Book 2 is The Girl Who Saved Christmas so I meshed them together in my head. 😆🤦🏻‍♀️ 2mo
monalyisha I knew exactly what you meant! 😉 2mo
monalyisha Ahem. I just stumbled upon my review of We Ride Upon Sticks & apparently I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. 😅 I remember being annoyed about a few things. It‘s funny that that‘s the memory/mood that persisted when I clearly really enjoyed so many other aspects. I wrote a fairly detailed review. 😆 My memory is so embarrassing. 🙈 2mo
MeganAnn @monalyisha I just went back and found your review and other posts… love it! It is weird how sometimes the only thing I remember about reading a particular book is my mood or whatever was going on in life completely unrelated to the actual book.🤷‍♀️ One of the many reasons I reread so many of them. 2mo
monalyisha Definitely eager(er) to discuss now that my mind is refreshed. 😉 2mo
JackOBotts @MeganAnn - Yay! 🥳 I loved seeing the overlap on our lists and am so excited to plan a bit today! It‘s going to be tricky to wait till January! 😂 I can‘t wait to see your thoughts on these ready! I hope they don‘t disappoint!!!! 2mo

With the tagged title I completed my #doublespin (library book) & yearly goal of 100 books on The StoryGraph & Goodreads. 🎉 Everything else is just bonus now.

Tagged book was good, not great. Started out pretty slow. I didn‘t really get into the story until past the halfway mark. I‘m hoping the other character‘s books in this series will be better because we already know them a bit. So far I definitely prefer MacLean‘s Rule of Scoundrels series.

I thought I had my list all ready to go & it still took me way too long to sign up for #NewYearWhoDis because I changed the order & added extra notes… but I‘m signed up & cannot wait to get my list! Hurry off to @monalyisha ‘s post if you‘re interested.

@BarbaraJean 3 books off your list made it onto my list of favorites this year… and I was seriously considering 3 more!

I‘ve done this three years in a row and found so many amazing books. ❤️⬇️

Got my #bookspinbingo board done & got to color off a square.

This was an incredibly fun, snarky take on a grim reaper. I love Charley‘s sense of humor & her relationship with her friend Cookie. I also found the idea of a grim reaper helping lost souls find peace & pass through her to the other side a fascinating take. I‘ll definitely continue the series.
Thanks @DebinHawaii for your post that pushed me to finally check my library & start this!

MeganAnn My #bookspin this month is the next book from my reread of The Hollows series. #doublespin is a book from the library which I visited yesterday to return some titles and cam home with four more. So I should easily get to both of these this month! @TheAromaofBooks 3mo

My November #bookspin list.

📚This month it‘s back to categories, including a new category for number 9: A book from a previous book spin list. Since I never read all 20 books on my list and change it each month, I thought this would be a fun way to go back and look through those to choose.

🖤Also continuing my Hollows reread.

✨Added a few titles from Halloween swaps and some titles I thought I might feel in the mood for this month.

My final #bookspinbingo board for October: my best month all year with 16 books and 2 bingos! It helps that the 5 free spaces were graphic novels from the library, but those were all ones on my tbr list anyway so it was nice to cross them off as well.

I finished both my #bookspin Bridge of Souls
