We had a very busy week at work, and this morning we did some mandatory training, so the boss gave us the afternoon free! When I got in my car, the outside temperature was 86 degrees! Good day for a walk and an audiobook to help cure #springfever. I have library books backed up like the Evergreen barge, so I‘m definitely going to try for #20in4 and just read as much as I can. Tagged audiobook is 22 hours long so we‘ll see...

Andrew65 Good luck 😊👍 4y
Crazeedi I love your analogy 😅😅 4y

This book is highly rated by Amazon readers, for its comical and convoluted short stories!

#WindsOfMarch Day 26: It definitely is #SpringFever as today marks the last examination of 12th grade daughter and the start of Spring Break for her! Yay! It deserves a shrimp caesar salad, onion soup, strawberry mojito for meself and the husband - and grilled cheese with pesto for teenage youngling.

Eggs Celebration time!!! 4y

My current shut-in reads! Lovin' Bunnicula all over again! This is my first Kurt Vonnegut book! And now that it is spring I have to re-read The Secret Garden!

#nostalgia #kurtvonnegut #springfever

nukie19 Interesting choice for a first Vonnegut. Feels like most people pick Slaughterhouse-Five, although Sirens of Titan is my fav. 5y
reader_in_april @nukie19 My best friend is a librarian and loves Vonnegut, she told me to read this first. 5y

The P🍀ddy Don't Start Til I Walk In🥰

I am creating a SPRINGING INTO SPRING list. What recommendations for a Spring feel would you all say? Help a sister out😜😋🤪 #springbooklist #cuteshirtclub #springfever

Derf Unless it‘s fantasy I can‘t help 🤦🏻‍♂️ 6y
kaleidoscope.reader @DannyHattan 😂 I like some Fantasy. My son has a thing for fantasy too. 6y

Pickpick

If you've ever had a fleeting fantasy about killing your boyfriend or your sister's boyfriend or your friend's boyfriend, this is the catharsis for you. Thoughtful structure, great voice, powerful story. Dear publishers: more #ownvoices crime fiction please.
Which #ownvoices read is next on your TBR?

suzisteffen YES more #ownvoices crime fiction! Thank you for the post and the request too. 6y
thewallflower0707 I SO need to buy this!! 6y
RiotousReads I‘m in the middle of this one, and it‘s awesome! 6y

Jcunning I‘ve seen this book recommended many places. Sounds intriguing! 6y
Angitron Reading this one right now! 6y
shanaqui I sort of didn't like the sound of this when it was described as "funny 6y
shanaqui ...and "satire", two things I don't usually 'get'. You make me want to give it a try. (Sorry half of this posted before I finished!) 6y
Godpants This one was super fun. 6y
MarriedtoMrT I LOVED this one. The audio is amazing. 6y
MarriedtoMrT @shanaqui Yeah, I wouldn‘t call this funny so you should disregard that review! 🧐🤨 6y
RaimeyGallant @shanaqui I don't really get why it was described as satire. I doubt the author does, either. It's a fairly plausible (if rare) scenario, in my opinion. The narrator is occasionally witty, but I don't think funny is in the top five words I would use to describe the book. 6y
Reggie @shanaqui This book for me just like some things in real life start out all fun and games but by the end I was quiet with what had happened and how we got there. I also think part of the “funny” comments comes from the killer sister who has a certain audacity that we aren‘t used to, which comes off differently to all of us. I really enjoyed it. Give it a try. 6y
RaimeyGallant @Reggie @shanaqui I agree with what @reggie said about the 'quieting.' There's a real gravitas to this story once you get to the why. 6y
EyesOnly34 @RaimeyGallant thanks for the message and follow—-and for the tips. I am sure I‘ll need them lol 6y
RaimeyGallant @EyesOnly34 My pleasure. :) 6y
kweenk Just downloaded the audio book for this. Super excited, might get the actual book to follow along 6y
RaimeyGallant @kweenk Hope you like it! 6y
sixgun @RaimeyGallant I just saw this on the shelf. I was a bit put off by the title, but with your recommendation it may be worth a start. 6y
RaimeyGallant @sixgun It's a...brave concept, for sure. ;) 6y
flying_monkeys Which I hear is fabulous (love sister stories) and I‘m hoping the summer part will help me through this last month of winter. #springfever 6y
RaimeyGallant @flying_monkeys I am not dealing well with the low in Winnipeg tonight: -37 c with the windchill. 6y

Yesterday (bottom insert), I had daffodils sprouting that were just about ready to open.....This morning, surprise! More snow!!!

It‘s beautiful, but I still have #SpringFever

Chelleo Same here!! I‘m so over it! Either give me a full-on snow storm or just step aside winter! 😫 7y
Tamra Us too - winter storm rolling in. 7y

RebelReader I‘m so done with winter! I feel bad to complain because I‘ve had 3 weeks off in warmer climates, but it‘s April for heavens sake! 7y
Ubookquitous Our daffodils and hyacinth have already bloomed and are now 2 inches deep in snow ❄️ 😒 7y
CouronneDhiver You aren‘t alone. Three more days of snow forecasted at the moment 😒 7y
Crazeedi @Riveted_Reader_Melissa my hyacinths started to pip up and I fear they will be frozen off and I won't get to smell their beautiful fragrance 😕 7y
CoffeeK8 Same here, our daffodils and tulips are up and covered in snow, and a couple of my roses have the beginning of buds that froze 😬 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Chelleo Don‘t say that, I went that way last year and got 2 feet of snow, everything was not only buried, but died off and didn‘t bloom at all last year.😱 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Crazeedi & @CoffeeK8 It‘s depressing right! You are so looking forward to those little glimpses of spring, and then to have them squashed seems particularly unfair. (edited) 7y
CoffeeK8 @Riveted_Reader_Melissa agreed... the poor plants never had a chance 7y
Gezemice We had snow last weekend, too... no snow now but it is cold. Freezing tonight. Supposed to be 23F tomorrow morning. Brrrrrr. I want spring! 7y
