Belated Halloween read. Pretty cute story. I had a few flashes of memories of reading this as a youth.
This adorable fuzzy cover 40th anniversary edition includes a touching introduction by James Howe about how he and his late wife created Bunnicula. The back of this edition includes a few messages from authors who share how Bunnicula has impacted them. Also, there are photos of different covers over the years, as well as fan drawings. Great little edition.

I stumbled upon this 40th anniversary edition at the bookstore the other day and I squealed so loud everyone turned to stare. Bunnicula was one of my favorites growing up and this is the cutest repackaging I've ever seen! Hide all your vegetables!
I could not resist this amazing anniversary edition of Bunnicula 🖤
I just learned there is a recent 40th anniversary edition of Bunnicula and it is FUZZY. So of course I needed it immediately. 🐇🥕🌕
Got my signed 40th anniversary edition! Squee! SUCH a memory of reading Bunnicula series with my mom at bedtime and laughing together. Still have my original 1st edition copies, of course. #Library (Since I still have my Easter decor out—including some of my old toys—figured I‘d add extra bunnies to the pic!)
I want to have a kid just so I can buy this book and read it with them.

#ManicMonday (posted on Tuesday 🤷🏻♀️)
My goal is to read through all of my library books before the end of the month and return whatever I still have out on February 1st. An ambitious goal for me, since I‘m always bringing home new ones.
I‘m down to just four books— so of course, all I want to do is reread old favorites. I‘m starting this one tonight. At least it‘s short, right?

This was one of my favorite books to read during the month of October as a child. As an adult, I still love it. Finding out about the authors‘ backstories have made me love it even more. If you‘re a fan of Bunnicula, definitely give James Howe‘s webpage a read:
September was probably my worst month for reading in two years, since I started tracking my reading stats for Litsy. I bailed on 5 books and only managed to finish the ones in this image. The tagged book is the only one of those I truly enjoyed. 😭 That being said, I AM in the middle of four other reads that I am loving, but I will not finish any of them for this month. Please let October be better!
Oh. My. Goodness. This was so adorable. I wish I had read this as a child. I loved it. So cute and funny - it‘s the tale of a vampire bunny as told by the family dog. Just too cute.
Four books for the month! Yes.Bunnicula counts. #dontjudgeme
I had no idea there was a Bunnicula cartoon. The style looks so 70s but apparently it was made recently. Guess I‘ll give it a try!
I used to listen to Bunnicula on tape when I was a kid. Fun stuff.
1. Bunnicula - loved this so much as a kid and I still often recommend it today to library patrons. Was a tough choice though - there are some great YA titles that star with B.
3. Ugh, so many great options! I can't pick - it's a tie between Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Kathleen Baldwin and Paolo Bacigalupi.
4. This one's easy. Brooklyn 99 for the win!
It was even more enjoyable than I thought it would be!
1. I still love the Bunnicula books!
2. POSSLQ- I read this book called Will You Be My POSSLQ? when I was a tween. POSSLQ stands for Persons of Opposite Sex Sharing Living Quarters. It sounds a bit racy, but it would probably fall under Clean romance. I think the term is from the 70s/80s.
3. I read everywhere! I have no shame.
4. Usually indoor, but I love a screened in porch because it's the best of both worlds.
YES!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 @Bookzombie you totally spoiled me! Little Freddie is absolutely adorable and will be finding his place on my bookshelf! Maleficent is already on my keyring! And I am SUPER excited about all these books! The orange edges of the Poe collection is so cool! I truly don‘t know which one to read first! Maybe we can do a buddy read of The Mummy since you added it to your TBR 😉 thank you SO MUCH! #mybloodyvalentineswap
Read this as a kid and I adored it. Now I'm sitting down to read my copy with my two young boys ❤
My t-shirt came!!! Bunnicula was probably my first ever spooky read!! Love the shirt!! Plus my #muglove box went out! It is headed south west of me and USPS said it should be there by Monday!!
I finished this with my son today. I don't know why I never read this before. There was one scene in particular that had us 😂. We both enjoyed it! 🐰 🐱 🐶
My 7 yr old daughter was enthralled every minute and begged for more each night! I guess now I‘m going to have to order the sequel, oh what a shame. 😉
This was a good book and my kids liked it as well. It is written from a dogs point of view and there is a very mischievous cat as well. On to the next in the series. I always like to look and see what year the books were originally published and this one is a couple years older than me😊
We accidentally started an offshoot of Bunnicula. “Whoa, stop, wait a minute we need to begin with the original.” Fortunately our used bookstore still had a copy. We started last night and my 7 yr old keeps saying the picture is creeping her out. 😲 But I think it will be fun nonetheless. They gave up on Pax, so I‘ll be reading that tear jerker alone.
How did I never read this as a kid? I loved this book about a bunny 🐰 vampire. Too cute!!
Dear @outofprint , Will you ever do the same give always here that you do on Instagram? Sincerely, a non Instagram user.
