EadieB @jamiesrc The first one I read was When the Lights Went Out and I loved the surprise ending so I decided to read the rest of her books. I‘ve since read The Good Girl and loved that one too. I am now halfway through Pretty Baby and I am enjoying it but hoping for another surprise ending. Next up is Don‘t You Cry. I was talking with her tonight and she is finishing another book coming out in 2019 which really sounds good. 6y

Mary Kubica is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. This is the 2nd book of hers that I have read. It is a twisty roller coaster that hooks you from the beginning and does not let go. The ending was a total surprise that smacks you in the face unexpectedly. I will be reading Pretty Baby next as I feel a Kubica binge coming on that will put a hold on my TBR. Sidetracked seems to be my middle name!

Jess7 I liked The Girl on the Train. I read it before all the hype and loved it. Into the Water was just so-so to me. @ReadingSusan but I think there are many who felt the opposite bc of the hype. Have you read Paula Hawkins and did you like either of the books? 7y

ReadingSusan @Jess7 I read The Girl on the Train right after Gone Girl and that made me not like it. I liked Into the Water more but didn‘t really love it either. 7y

Jess7 I think several people feel like that. I actually read Girl on the Train first. I watched the Gone Girl movie before reading the book. @ReadingSusan 7y

Scarlett_ohara I've never heard of Amy Gentry but I did love Gone Girl, Girl on the Train, Into the Water and am currently reading Sharp Objects and enjoying it. 7y

rwmg I've read The Girl On The Train and would have bailed after the first chapter if it hadn't been a book club choice. Sharp Objects was also a book club choice, OMG what a depressing bunch of people in that book. 7y

Nggak nyangka bakal suka dengan alur maju mundurnya. Saya orang yang cenderung menyukai alur maju dalam semua kisah. Waktu tahu novel dimulai dengan bagian akhir cerita, biasanya langsung tutup buku. Tapi tidak dengan The Good Girl. Mary Kubica memenggal jalan cerita di tempat-tempat yang pas, bahkan akhir ceritanya pun jauh diluar dugaan.

I think it's better to go into The Good Girl without expectations. It was a nice change of pace that the pov's came from almost everyone but Mia. Up until that last chapter we know nothing about our main character, while every other character eat, sleeps, and breathes Mia/Chloe. Predictable, but not in a bad way. I enjoyed it and decided there needs to be a lifetime movie asap. #thegoodgirl #fiction #sunday #fall

RadicalReader @LazyLibrary lifetime movies never disappoint my favorites are Revving Ophelia and A Mother‘s Nightmare. I tried reading the book reviving Ophelia and just wasn‘t able to see the movie playing in my head as I read it 7y
