DebinHawaii @Cinfhen If you don't care about the egg, I would probably use them and I would keep the latkes on the small side so they stay together better. Do you have any potato starch? It's 'lighter' than potato flour and might make them crisper. But either way I think it should work. 7y

Cinfhen I couldn't find potato starch just flour so I'll try to use less flour and I'll remember to make them small... thanks Deb!! I'll let u know how it goes😊 7y

Lighting the Flames: A Hanukkah Story | Sarah Wendell

This is the only Hanukkah book in my collection. I love that Sarah Wendell wrote it after catching herself lamenting the lack of Hanukkah romances three times. She has a rule that if you complain about something three times you have to do something to fix it. I wish she complain more about things if sweet books like this one are the result. #romantsy #ahamiltonchanukah #decdays

Happy Chanukah everyone! Living in NZ, Judaism is one of the religions I know least about. In 45 years I‘ve only ever met one Jewish person here! I‘d be keen to learn more if @Cinfhen can point me out more books 😊

I loved this book but I see it wasn‘t a fav of yours @Cinfhen 😄 I do like a ponderous book about academics or writers - a quirk I have! But more fun for me because the subject was entirely new to me.

ScientistSam For non-fiction, Harold Kushner writes very approachably about Judaism. I love his book To Life. And Rabbi Telushkin has written some interesting books (huge, so I just dip into them) like the book of Jewish Wisdom.

Cinfhen I love this thread!! Having been raised in a very traditional Jewish household where our belief & faith was so ingrained in our daily lives I never thought about books on the topic. I will definitely do some research and get back to you with a list!! As with every religion there are always fanatics, which shock me just as much to discover. This was an eye opening memoir

I tried to remember a book with a Hanukkah scene to fit this prompt and failed. So I enlisted my Jewish husband and he seems to think this book fits the bill 🕎 I haven't read it so can't confirm or deny but either way, I want to read this one!

emilyhaldi @Cinfhen my husband doesn't read a lot besides graphic novels / comic books 🤓 but JSF is one of his favorite authors. He stole this chunkster from me 4 months ago but it's still sitting on his nightstand unopened 😂
