This was just not for me. It was slow to get anywhere. I hated the characters. I felt like it just went in circles to go nowhere. Just not a fan of this one. Definitely a pass for me.

Pickpick

A beautiful story about a woman who was burned by love so bad it prevented her from loving and appreciating what was right in front of her for fifteen years - a devoted husband and two children in a friendly community. An accident on a horse puts Mikaela in a coma. When she awakens her memories have gaps. By trying to regain her memories, she is finding and understanding love in a new way that is better than she was before.

Karen has a car accident that erases her memory of the hours before. Her husband is worried, her neighbor supportive, and everyone is keeping secrets. The plot has potential but the execution misses the mark. The writing is repetitive, lacks subtlety and there is too much 'tell' and not enough ‘show'. Still, the idea behind the plot is decent. If you pick this one up, I recommend going in blind to let the suspense unfold. ⭐️⭐️💫 2.5/5 ❤️📚

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

This was a light hearted magical rom-com with all the best bits — enemies to lovers, forced proximity, humour and silliness and spice. And yet…somehow also managed to be a very insightful look at abusive relationships, self-awareness and working to be a better person, and racial politics. This book was a bit of a ride, but I enjoyed every second of it.

Book about memories and what you remember-I remember thinking that it reminded me of the movie “Memento“.
