Pickpick

A remarkable and harrowing novel about the Vietnam War. A raw semi-autobiographical account capturing the brutal dehumanizing effects of war. The pacing is intense and chaotic fitting the narrative perfectly. It is quite the novel.

#checkin #AwesomeApril #readathon

Read & finished The Postscript Murders & Pont Neuf.
Various stages with others. Two are buddy reads, so the pace is set.

This was a disappointment. The plot was lacking to say the least and the ending didn't feel like an ending. The one bright spot was the narrator. The narration saved the day because this book more than likely would have been a DNF otherwise. 2.5 - 3 ⭐

Trying to finish my 2nd book for #foodandlit before #Vietnam ends today but I don‘t think I‘m going to be able to keep my eyes open after the past three night shifts (and one more tonight) 🧟‍♀️🌑🚑🚔. Not as good as “ Paradise of the Blind” but still interesting.
