pickThe first half of the book seemed like 'wartime chick-lit'. A few letters simply drag on with clichéd sentences.
It gains depth in the second part and you really feel like meeting some of the lovable characters who have been sprinkled throughout the book.
What I love: It's about books. It's feel-good, doesn't leave you feeling morose. There are plenty of endearing moments in the second half.
