#Wardens2023 #BookSpinBingo #SeriesLove2023 #BookSpin (January) #UnpopularOpinion

This (book 3) was by far the best of them all. It took me just under 2 months to read whereas books 1 & 2 took me 6 months a piece to read them. Lots of reading sprints helped me to get motivated to finish this one!😝

Curious about book 4 ‘Time‘s Convert‘ but, I will definitely not waste, imo, more money on this series; I‘ll borrow it from the library instead.

EclecticBookLover I recently read the first book and there were aspects I really enjoyed, but overall my feeling for the book was just, meh. I way the romance was written really turned me off. It's so annoying. 9h
Andrew65 Well done on showing a perseverance and stubborn streak and getting it completed 🥰🍾🥂 9h
CoverToCoverGirl Sorry to hear that! I intend to read these books as part of the #serieslove2023 challenge. I hope like them, a lot of people have recommended them to me. 8h

DieAReader @EclecticBookLover Very much felt the same. Kept 🤞🏻that there wouldn‘t be many/any drawn out love scenes😳 The ones that were present were cringe inducing as is. Thankfully it was kept to a minimum🙃 7h
DieAReader @Andrew65 Damned skippy! Tête de mule (stubborn person, pig-headed etc…)! As my Mémére would often say (as if she wasn‘t one herself??). I paid for the damned thing? I might as well read it??‍♀️? 7h
DieAReader @CoverToCoverGirl You My friend, are an exception to this #UnpopularOppinion. You love historical fiction & I predict🔮that you will enjoy them much much more than I did😉 Make sure to tag me when you get to them, if you wouldn‘t mind🧐 I‘d love to know what you think/feel about them🥰💜 7h

I love this series so much & want to finish it this year for #SeriesLove2023 challenge. #HappyNewYear #Endings #Beginnings #Change

Andrew65 I forgot to add this to my #SeriesLove2023 but need to, thanks for the reminder. Hope you enjoy it. 1mo
TheSpineView I loved this series! At some point I would like to reread it. 1mo

This is long and complicated. There are hundreds of characters, many of whom are very briefly in the story. So much of the travel seems unnecessary. There wasn‘t enough about the magic and way too much about the politics of the time. It just didn‘t work for me. Will I still read the final one? Yes. Will I ever re-read this? No.

DivineDiana Hundreds of characters! 😲 2mo
Mrs_B @DivineDiana yes. It‘s really odd. Some are in the story for about 3 chapters at most. Some even less. I suspect some at the beginning were being set up for the final book but it‘s still odd. And some were quite clearly just an “aside” but there were plenty others who you expected to become an integral part of the story and then you just never heard from again. So weird. 2mo
Mrs_B @DivineDiana the more I think about this the more it‘s annoying me. 😂 2mo
DivineDiana I get it! 🤣 2mo
Mrs_B @DivineDiana I have started the third one because I want to know what happens and after nearly 3 weeks of reading I feel I have to. But there are MORE RANDOM CHARACTERS. 2mo

I enjoyed my reread, but this is still my least favorite in the trilogy.

So🙄…made no🚫progress on ‘Portrait of a Killer..” or “Chicken Soup…”; minor pages in “The Executioner” but killed it on “The Book of Life” thanks to some amazing sprints, awesome friends and lots of power-house reading. I still am🤯over those pages (easier than figuring out the author‘s chapter schematic🙄).

Thank you😉 You know who you are😜📚🤓

TheSpineView Great job 2mo
TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! 2mo
Andrew65 Fantastic progress with that #chunkster of all Chunksters! 👏👏👏🙌🎄🎉🥳🥰 2mo

I thought this book was really clever. I loved the historical references (especially the School of Night. Lit nerd heaven!) and the juxtaposition of the story between 1590‘s Europe and the modern timeline. There are brand new characters and you meet some that were previously referenced. I wound up really loving a couple of characters that I didn‘t expect to like at all. I may have even liked this book more than the first one.

Scochrane26 I think this is my favorite of the 3, but I loved them all. And the tv show. 2mo
Ericalambbrown @Scochrane26 I started the tv show when we picked up AMC+ this fall. Then I stopped to read the books when I liked the show so much. Now I just want Gallowglass to get his own book. 2mo
Scochrane26 @Ericalambbrown I‘m hoping he does, too. 2mo

Opening this one back up after a brief hiatus (as I‘m reading via the Trilogy Edition, the page count is ridiculous & daunting) and hoping it doesn‘t follow suit with it‘s predecessors. They both individually each took me 6️⃣months to read. Their only reason for surviving the DNF guillotiner was the fact that I paid for it🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

CoverToCoverGirl DNF guillotiner🤭🤣 you kill me girl! 😉 Too funny. 3mo
