It‘s all starting to come together now. The girls make more sense to me. Also, I have a little crush on Lightsong. #CosmereBuddyRead.

The enslavement of a main character just does not allow me to be invested in the romance. #hailthebail
Continuing a month of way too many DNF‘s 😣
March #bookspin was super successful, thanks to all the novelettes and novellas I read. Still didn't get a bingo or read my #bookspin though (I should get to it this month). April's list is already well underway, I've actually finished my #bookspin and #doublespin but I'll post that update when I make my May list
And I think that's it for my very belated wrap up posts

3✨Still struggling with all the POVs and characters, but a little easier to follow along this time. I‘m not sure I comprehended everything that was going on, but I really like Skedi and Inara. We learn more about her in this book. There is a lot more power seen by some of the characters, and Kissen still really strong and awesome! #HTBookClub #SeriesLove
Went to the advance poll today to vote in our federal election. Long line, so I read while waiting my turn. When I got to the front of the line, the poll worker saw my book and exclaimed « Brandon Sanderson! » His friends are really into Sanderson‘s work, so that was fun to trade geeky enthusiasms. (He is more into anime.) I was rewarded with a fist bump for being cool ??
I was surprised that the pacing for this sequel dragged as much as it did in the beginning— Kaner did an excellent job both world and character building in the first book in this trilogy that I expected to fly through this one! It does pick up immediately after the conclusion of GODKILLER, but it moves slowly until the last surprising quarter of the book which makes me so glad that I don‘t have to wait before reading the conclusion!
Book 3 follows Sieh the god of Childhood. His interactions with mortals and other gods as his nature changed was magnificent.
This does not specifically impact my review, but I audiobooked the previous 2 in the series & in my opinion audio is the way to go, the formatting & nature of the book: a vast story of gods, godlings & their impact on mortals; lends it well to oral storytelling, it feels like hearing a secret mythology around a campfire
I am in love with this one already. Sanderson is so great with character development. I was thinking that he might keep the magical system somewhat the same for the whole universe, but I guess not. Just where does he come up with these ideas?

Really good story with a lot of humor. Almost like Pratchett. Kind of a loser finds love and self-expression dealing with his brother, Spider. I have not seen the TV series.
Repost for @JacqMac
Warbreaker is up next in our #CosmereBuddyRead. I have split it into four parts. Each section will be about 160 pages per week. I‘m really enjoying doing this with other Littens. This one is a standalone, if anyone would like to jump in and join us, we would love to have you.
