The best kind of surprise is book mail. A friend had this book shipped to me for my birthday next week. I was not expecting it at all. I've always meant to read Silvia Moreno-Garcia, and this book sounds perfect for Halloween. 🪄
so-soI reaaally enjoyed the main story plot but there‘s so much that didn‘t need to happen.. iykyk 😅 It was also SO predictable to me that I was hoping for some big twist that never came. I wanted to give it a higher rating but since I can‘t see myself recommending it, I just couldn‘t do it..
pickWhile this wasn‘t my favorite from this author, it was still very good. There were slower parts in the middle but it picked up again. This story follows three MCs and goes back and forth to their different times, with the “present day” being 1998. There‘s an eerie, witchy feel to it and plenty of mysterious events. Each MC has a mystery to solve with the three connecting in the end. The characters were well written and there was so much intrigue.
pickMagical and cozy stories about closeness to and love of nature, friendship and adventures. The books had some things that weren't handled so well (prejudices against other people, intolerance to different eating habits, the handling of the financial situation and others), but those are nice and simple fantasy stories.

pickThis book was fun. I love stories that jump around in time and this keeps the pace moving. Another great book from Garcia.
