The Blind Assassin: A Novel | Margaret Atwood
post image

March was a good reading month. I read some amazing books. The Blind Assassin knocked my socks off, so did The Room of One's Own, in a different way. Other great reads this month: How I Killed Pluto and Why it had it Coming; Are You There, God, it's Me, Margaret; The Left Hand of Darkness; The Prince; Men Explain Things to Me; March; The Importance of Being Ernest.

*Now that I looked at what I wasn't reading (darn those good intentions), what did I read in March?

March was crazy--two job interviews, grad school, student teaching--but I still managed to get some reading in! I'm ready for April. #readinmarch #march2017

My 'B' & 'T' for #LitsyAtoZ @BookishMarginalia. (Just noticed if I read my 'L' as well I'll have a BLT sandwich! 😂)
The other two are just the books I'm reading on @SerialReader, they don't belong to any challenges!

Coming out next week: This middle school novel features a #transgender protagonist who is mortified by the strict uniform policy at his new school. Liv --not Olivia-- has known he is really a boy for several years and he is now determined to lobby for a more flexible and inclusive policy that doesn't require girls to wear skirts. The novel charts Liv's attempts at activism as well as the repercussions of being a transgender 11-year-old. #NetGalley

LibrarianRyan I want to read that book. It looks so fun. 8y
