thegirlwiththelibrarybag Romeo and Juliet was the first play I read for English in high school - my teacher was pretty fierce but fair and knowledgeable (awesome qualities much needed for teens to take you seriously). I remember watching both and having to write a report on the stylistic differences... my fancy font use was epic 😂 (edited) 7y

The Stranger | Albert Camus

Embarrassing to confess but I don't think I was supposed to keep this book after we read it senior year of high school, and I did anyway. I swear this is the only book theft I can recall committing. I still have it a millennia later. I hope my AP Literature teacher has forgiven me. If not it is in remarkably good condition so I could return it. #melodicmay #whatiwenttoschoolfor

Remember my female English teacher who taught me Blake? She also taught these three books - all of which I didn't like! I still had to go to the classes though but I now reckon that I went more because of her than the books! 🤣. 2 ⭐. I would probably have bailed on this one if it hadn't been a set text.

Once Burned: A Night Prince Novel | Jeaniene Frost

I still need to read the last book in the series about Vlad (don't call him Dracula) and his mortal girlfriend who has powers of her own. I tried Frost's other series and couldn't get it into it. Had no such issues with these books- I devour them in one sitting. #Transylvania #melodicmay

I took the advice of #thewriter @EricQiao and chose this book from my Memorial Day weekend stack to read first. This book was such fun. It was like an old caper movie with twists and turns and constant reversals of fortune. #melodicmay
