Christopher is a jerk, Kate seems to be missing all the skills and fortitude that allowed her to be a globe-trotting photojournalist, the author seems to have forgotten Kate‘s family is close and loving.
I‘m not a fan of age-gap romances and while 6 years isn‘t bad, Christopher‘s habit of constantly comparing adult Kate to child Kate got creepy.

Hi Litsy friends—quick non-book-related post! This is my friend Amber & her wife Elizabeth—two of my closest friends & also two of the most generous & caring people I know. Amber suffers from occipital neuralgia (chronic migraines, vertigo, nausea, light sensitivity). Recently all treatment that had helped stopped working. She‘s an ideal candidate for a surgery to cure her—with a 90% success rate—but insurance won‘t cover it.

pick4/5⭐ Much of the info wasn't new to me as someone who's gotten migraines since childhood, but it was validating to get a neurologist's explanations for the management strategies I had come to on my own. I appreciated Turknett's hot air balloon analogy for how triggers work. I recommend this book for both people with migraines & for people without to understand how much we deal with on a daily basis either trying to avoid or get through a migraine.
Now, next time I suffer from a migraine,
I finally have the perfect description when someone asks I feel.

Again no #fridayreads for me, I got such a nice pillow at work for my sofa today, but after a long and stressful day T work the migraine got me again. After it has been hot for so long and I had no problems, I got it, when I was twenty minutes at home. So instead of reading I am resting in bed and hope the pain won't last too long... #migraineisntareadingcompanion
This is me this morning. Wanted to spend a quiet day reading... ugh.
