pickThis is a fun little Poirot short (the actual book includes several other short stories, but they aren't particularly Christmasy, so I only read the title story this time around). Poirot reluctantly heads off to a country estate for an “old-fashioned Christmas“ - and a bit of undercover sleuthing. Poirot is very Poiroty in this one, and I quite enjoyed rereading it.

pickDefinitely the best Nancy Drew we've had in a minute. This one had more of the regular level of ridiculousness 😂 Favorite parts included the police acting very clever because they determined that two masked men who attempted to break into the house at the same time were working together; the girls acting like sitting behind empty picture frames was a brilliant hiding spot; literally everyone not only knowing how to sail but being really great ⬇

so-soI didn‘t go back and read the novellas between 3 & 4 which is recommended, but aside from some new friends it was fine. Well, not fine, it is the end of days after all. The spice was good, but Willow was so back & forth with Max, major situations drag, the ending is vague… eh
Gotta love the commitment to showing forearms on the cover of a Winter romance. 😂
Former best friends turned enemies are stuck together on the way home from college. Their history is pretty sad, but of course all ends well. Way too steamy for such a short book, IMO, but enjoyable. I really liked Charlie's relationship with his little sister, who's in remission from Leukemia; he's terrified of not making it home for her Christmas.
