I need help deciding what to read next. Please and thank you in advanced. #LitsyLove #pleasehelp

slategreyskies Oh, I have the same problem! I‘m terrible at choosing which book to read next! Have you decided on one yet? 4y
Lollymya @slategreyskies no...but I put this on Facebook and Instagram as well and it looks like everyone says I should read American Royals....but I don‘t know. 4y
slategreyskies I‘d go with The Invention of Sophie Carter, but both of those would probably be good. :) 4y

Hello lovely litsy community!

My 10 yr wedding anniversary with my husband is coming up and I have no clue what to get him. He recently read this and loved it. So I was wondering if any one could suggest other graphic novels similar to this. He has read Chew and started Saga.

Thank you for your help!

#pleasehelp #recommendations

vivastory If he hasn't read Backderf's other graphic novels, I def recommend. Esp. Trashed which I found both very humorous & informative. I'd also recommend Craig Thompson's “Habibi“ (the artwork alone is stunning), Charles Burns' “Black Hole“ (kind of like a gn version of the movie “It Follows“. Read this years ago & it still creeps me out) Jeff Lemire's “Underwater Welder“ or his book “Roughneck“. Hope that helps! 4y
charl08 In addition to @vivastory recommendations - Might he like "My Favourite Thing is Monsters?" There's a great monthly GN review column in The Guardian too - although it's dangerous reading! https://www.theguardian.com/books/series/graphic-novel-of-the-month 4y
Karkar He might like 4y
That-Bookish-Hiker @vivastory @charl08 @Karkar thank you so much!!! Now I have gift ideas for other occasions! You guys rock. 4y

Ok Littens I need some serious help with my swaps. Where do you get your bookish items? I‘ve tried Target, Hot Topic, other bookstores, B&N, BAM, and random gift shops to no avail. I‘m wondering if I‘m budgeting too low? I tend to keep it $10 or less for bookish items.

Beatlefan129 If you plan in advance, you can order some lovely little items on Etsy 6y
That-Bookish-Hiker I order from Etsy and bookish shops I‘ve found on Instagram. Out of print has a lot of great things too. I love the Target Dollar bins for great little gifts as well. 6y
TrishB Etsy and EBay. Some on Amazon. 6y

I started using Overdrive on my Kindle Fire to check out ebooks.

I keep seeing Libby as well so I was wondering which one is better to use? I know Libby is a part of overdrive so that‘s where I get confused.

That-Bookish-Hiker @HeatherBookNerd thanks! That really helped. 😊 6y
CouronneDhiver I like the features of Overdrive better, myself. Libby is a little too simplistic for me. 6y

Reviewsbylola I downloaded Libby months ago but still preferred OD initially. Now I use Libby exclusively. I couldn‘t really articulate why that is though. 😂😂😂 6y
MarriedtoMrT Libby! You do everything in-app instead of having to launch to Overdrive webpage. My suggestion is to download and play around with it. I was like @Reviewsbylola and was resistant at first but now use it exclusively. 6y
Kimberlone Libby has a nicer and more modern looking interface, but it‘s easier to access settings and other features on Overdrive. I only use Overdrive now for audiobooks that can only be synced with that app, and mostly send ebooks from Libby to my kindle in any case. 6y
That-Bookish-Hiker @CouronneDhiver @Reviewsbylola @MarriedtoMrT @Kimberlone thank you guys for all the great information! I think I‘ll try both and see which one I end up liking more. 6y

Someone posted this on Instagram but didn't credit the author. I would love to buy this print!

Does anyone recognize this and can tell me who did it?

#thanksforyourhelp #pleasehelp

DivineDiana No, but I love it!💗 7y
mcipher It's adorable! But I'm no help, sorry. 7y
SconsinBookyBadger I thought google search was going to be tough tracking the source, but I found it! The artwork is "Some Light Reading" by Kate Huon. I don't know if it's available as a print; maybe this website can help you out: https://ohmy.disney.com/news/2017/03/08/enchanting-beauty-and-the-beast-art-from... (edited) 7y
That-Bookish-Hiker @anansigirl thank you so much! I tried the google image search and that never works for me. I'm probably doing it wrong lol. 7y

Heideschrampf If you can get over the pathos of the first, say, 20 minutes i can only recommend this. Definately one of the best narrated books I've listened to in years! 8y
SG2014 Thanks @Heideschrampf! It sounds interesting. I'll have to add it to my list! 8y
