#PutYourRecordsOn makes me think of vinyl records & my old record player (it was portable with a ‘lovely‘ gold case). I was a few years too young for a David Cassidy appreciation but I had older sisters & was sorry he passed away at 67 in 2017. This book has been in in my #TBR stack for years. It‘s about two 13-year-old Welsh girls with a David Cassidy obsession in 1974 all grown up in 1998 with an opportunity to finally meet him.🎸💖

From Sherlock Holmes & his violin to Inspector Morse(classical), DI Banks(blues), Bosch(Jazz) to Phryne Fisher(anything she can dance to!) There‘s so many I haven‘t listed, I‘m not sure of the connection.Maybe it‘s a way to take their minds off the misery they investigate every day. What‘s your theory? #detectivehastheblues

CarolynM @Cathythoughts Horrid Henry was a big hit in our house too. And on road trips we'd listen to the wonderful Miranda Richardson reading them. @Caroline2 I think the first half dozen or so are probably better than the later ones like this one, but maybe the humour just isn't for you. 5y
