So I was a little annoyed that this book was more about two people working at a newspaper than about children being sold out of desperation in the 1930s. But after a bit I became so immersed in the story that it didn't matter anymore.

Long day watching the Grand, though we did have a blast at SkyZone (indoor trampoline park)! And I'm amazed at just how much the 5min knee exercises coupled with a daily 1.5 mile 100ft elevation walks have made difference in my leg strength and stamina; cause it certainly doesn't feel that way when I'm walking up that dreaded, fucking hill 😂

I had to bail on a book so I‘m one month behind but I‘m hoping to catch up with a couple of smaller teen books (my favorite!). 🍎🍏

I have traveled thousands of miles, through many decades and read about all walks of lives. Some read to remember and some read to forget. Whatever your reason, just read and enjoy. #34of2023

McDermid sure knows how to keep one reading! This was a quick moving, suspenseful read that had me hooked from the first murder.
One thing though, Lindsay should really consider changing her friend circle. All of them ending up suspects for murder, it would make me think.
