I absolutely loved the first 2/3s of this book and then it went sideways down the predictable tedious and uninspiring rabbit hole. Still the writing was good even if the ending and the “reveal” left me dissatisfied. Disappointing after The ex which I thoroughly enjoyed.

How well do you actually know your best friends? Maybe not as good as you think. Three best friends go on a weekend trip to the Hamptons. They put a note on a car, but what happens next they never expected. I thought this was going to be better. It didn't keep my attention like I thought it would. I have been sick, so that could probably be it, bc I usually really like Burke's books.
