#startswithF #Springflingreading a little late.
Eclectic version. I've only read 3 of these. The rest I had to Jenga out of my tottering TBR pile. 📚❤😁

Pickpick

Perfect timing for #startswithf I finished this today, just in time for book club tomorrow. For less than 300 pages I wasn't expecting to be so invested in the main character, but Hoffman totally made it happen. I laughed a lot even though there is quite a bit of sadness. I will definitely be checking out more novels by this author. @jess.how

As sad a picture book as you'll ever read, but so beautiful and with such an important message. I wouldn't read it to children younger than 10.

This is one of the many classics that I've always wanted to read but have never gotten to. Planning to read it this year!

SpiderCrafts Great cover! Frankenstein is one of my favourites, with the re-read value of 'life and death' zombie philosophy. 👻 7y

The Fishermen: A Novel | Chigozie Obioma

#SpringFlingReading #startswithF Here are 3 I read this past year. I liked The Fishermen, it explores myth and folklore and is a little disturbing. The Fireman needed a bit of editing IMO, and Fear of Flying was a pan. It started out strong, but quickly fell apart. The story of a repressed woman, finding her sexual freedom felt repetitive and without merit.

Caroline2 Totally agree about Fear of Flying! I couldn't finish it either. Very repetitive and I couldn't relate or connect to the main character at all! 🙄 7y
Cinfhen @Caroline2 I only finished because it was for my #birthdaychallenge read, otherwise I would have bailed 😖 7y
KarenUK Loved The Fishermen 💕🐟 7y
Reggie I was kind of in a funk after reading The Fireman. The last 100 pages were like a cruel joke on humanity. 7y
