People often say “The book was better!” Do you always think that‘s true? Come find out which one I liked better for seven specific stories: https://youtu.be/wOZQ_eAtmfc

#booktube #booksvsmovies #thebookwasbetter #bookish

MidnightBookGirl I love both the book and the movie, but I am more than happy with the differences between them. 2mo
EadieB @Butterflyamore I have read My Sister's Keeper, The Glass Castle, and the Phantom of the Opera but I've only seen The Phantom of the Opera movie and Broadway version. I agree with you that the Broadway version was way better than the book or movie. The atmosphere and the songs added much to the production and made that more memorable. I don't watch a lot of movie of the books I read but I just went to see The Goldfinch which I also loved the movie 2mo
Butterflyamore @EadieB I haven‘t read The Goldfinch yet but I‘d definitely like to before seeing the movie. The trailer for the movie does look really good! 2mo
EadieB @Butterflyamore People who have not read The Goldfinch will be a little lost as the book was so long and the movie doesn't hit all the info as well as the book. I know I had to explain a lot of things to my husband. I just watched Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil and read the book also. I actually liked the movie better as the screen does the book so much more justice. If I think of any more movies that I have seen, I will let you know. (edited) 2mo

#X-cellentRead

Here are a few of what were "x-cellant" reads for me. To qualify I had to love them enough to read a 2nd or 3rd time. Several of these I have read twice.??

AlaMich I loved The Martian too! The movie was good, but of course, #thebookwasbetter 4mo
Andrew65 Thought this was one of my posts for a minute, first five I looked at were all books I loved too. Obviously need to read the other 3! 4mo
TheSpineView @AlaMich The book is always better!😊😋 4mo

Me watching Sleeping With the Enemy the day after reading the book 😂

They changed the main characters name for frick sakes! And they left out the cute kitten Banana, which is just completely unforgivable. OH, And of course they changed the whole ending.

Sigh... when will I ever learn not to get my hopes up.

ravenlee I saw the movie years ago (on TV, probably chopped up) and thought it was meh. Is the book worthwhile? 8mo
Clwojick @ravenlee I quite enjoyed it. I‘m glad I read it, but definitely disappointed in the movie. 8mo
cherinium That's one of the things that drives me nuts about the Game of Thrones TV series. 8mo

My daughter got a new sign for her pretend classroom and this is the first message she wrote! ❤️❤️ #Thebookwasbetter

I‘m continuing re-reading the Outlander series with this one. I read this for the first time a few years ago and I can‘t remember what happens in it. Probably a lot as it is a big book! I was pretty disappointed with the newest season of the tv show. So far the books are proving that #thebookwasbetter 😊🤣

I‘ll admit, I‘m a bad book nerd. Many friends encouraged me to watch the Netflix series since I love suspense/gory horror. As I looked into it, I realized it was a book so I made a deal with myself. I‘d watch 1 Ep, and if I liked it, I‘d stop - read the book, and finish the series so I could compare (bc let‘s face it, usually #thebookwasbetter). So...letsgoooooo! 😜

Erinreadsthebooks I watched the series knowing it's a book, and now have the book on hold at the library. I can't wait to read crazy Joe's thoughts 😃 11mo

I moved this book up my TBR so I could watch the Netflix movie but shouldn't have bothered. The book is wonderfully scary and the movie is just meh. Only half way through the film and I might not finish. But I'm thankful for a very good read. #thebookwasbetter

Sydneyreads I felt the SAME WAY. I enjoyed the book so much, the movie just didn‘t come close. 11mo
Reviewsbylola I hate movies so I doubt I‘ll bother with this one but I loved the book! 11mo

Still holds true, even if #StevenSpielberg directs it. My imagination just brings books to life way better than a multi-million dollar movie franchise. #ReadyPlayerOne #TheBookWasBetter Books open worlds to me and I am forever grateful.

MommyOfTwo The book was better but the movie was pretty good as well! 1y
