Looking for audiobook recommendations! We are driving from Grand Teton to Glacier National Park this summer.

My husband isn‘t a big reader, so looking for recommendations that a non reader would like!

Genres would probably be mystery or fantasy (like LOTR but not boring) ☺️

TIA!

Librarybelle I‘d try this one, and the other two in the series. I loved the audio, and it‘s quite entertaining, so I think it would hold a nonreader‘s interest: 1w
TieDyeDude Sci-fi, but I enjoyed the audio of the sprawling story of (edited) 1w
BarbaraJean Not fantasy, but sci-fi: the Murderbot Diaries series! Most are novellas, a couple are full length novels, and there are I think 7 in the series so far. The audiobooks are great, and the MC is engaging and snarky. So much fun. 1w

5feet.of.fury There‘s a full cast version of the Hobbit that‘s good. Also comedy/memoir type books are how I got into audiobooks & if he doesn‘t usually listen to them that might be good so I‘m gonna go with 1w
Laughterhp @BarbaraJean Ooh! That‘s a good idea. Maybe I‘ll make his listen to murderbot and then watch the tv show with me! 1w
Laughterhp @5feet.of.fury Oh! Thanks! We just started watching Parks and Rec! This might be a good one to check out. 1w
Laughterhp @Librarybelle @TieDyeDude Thanks!! I‘ll check those out! 1w
ChaoticMissAdventures I also vote Murderbot! What about nonfiction? Something bite size like John Greens The Anthropocene Reviewed or I really love Patrick Radden Keefe any of his really like 1w
Aims42 This one has been recommended to me for a good audio book. I haven‘t listened but it has good reviews 😊 1w
5feet.of.fury @Laughterhp I looooove parts and rec! Retta & Amy Poehler‘s books were also good 😂 1w

I just started watching Yellowstone (I know I am behind!) & have quickly become obsessed with Rip & Beth‘s relationship/dynamic! Anyone have any good recommendations for books that have their vibe?

Doesn‘t have to be cowboy themed - I am open to all books with their vibe.

No triggers, but not a fan of pregnancy or children in romance books.

(I know I just made a big post about reading all my physical books - I can‘t help it, lol!)

Even though #Washington was the only new state I visited in September for #RoadTripUSA2022, it was a remarkable trip!

I visited four new states in August: Georgia, Hawaii, Oregon and Montana. (Actually, only half of The Paris Library was set in Montana. Th other half was set in France. If France wanted to become a state, I‘d vote yes in a heartbeat!)

July was a busy travel month. Five new states! Delaware was the most enjoyable. Colorado was the most thought-provoking.

julieclair @mabell This is the first one I have read, but will definitely read more. 3y

Two new states in June. The trip to South Carolina was fascinating. The trip to Michigan, unfortunately, was just plain weird. May have to re-visit Michigan at some point, hoping for a better experience, lol!

Pickpick

I have to tell you at the beginning of the book I didn‘t think I was going to be able to handle Nora. But I stuck with it and once again this author delivers a solid read with depth but not so much you‘re drowning. Perfect summer/beach read. #romantsy #travelthroughbooks #travelUSA #northcarolina #mayread

melzen Interesting 3y
sprainedbrain Nora is a lot! 3y
